About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Nice ’47 Willy’s in good shape with great road tires & new spare, tow bar, soft top (which I’ve never put on), upgraded seats in front and back and licensed as an Antique which means no more annual licensing fees. This unit starts well when used weekly (otherwise a bit of help – starting fluid might be in order) and she is still in need of some help with her braking system and some minor oil leaks. These projects were on my list of “to dos” but I have moved on so looking to move her along to someone who’s ambition is more than mine at this time. Great as is for a slow cruiser or to continue fixing up as an upgrading project. Asking $5,000.”

This M-170 has been modified, but there’s enough left to suggest it’s a 1952 or early 1953 M-170.
“I was told this is a 53 or 54 Willys. I don’t know if this is a CJ2A or not. Story I got was it was used in the 70’s to deliver mail in one of our mountain communities and then parked in the 80’s. Carb is gone so so way to try and start. Some rust spots. Motor is supposed to be a 327 Chevy. Not sure about the transmission or transfer case. Axles look stock. No title, just a bill of sale.”
This may be an assemblage of parts, as it appears this has an MB/GPW body and a later model rear axle.
“46 willy’s jeep. Has a 327 small block engine. Dont know the mileage. Has 150 pounds of compression om all cylinders. Blazer transmission & gearbox. Mustang steering column and radiator, ronco shocks. Give me an offer will get more pictures to people who are interested. Not an automatic. not a cherokee”
This is likely a J4 or J4C. It has a few changes, including an odd windshield modification and a WILLYS plate that appears added to the hood.
“I am selling my project jeep. Its a 1959 Willys cj3B/M606. It is an export jeep to Japan, assembled under contract by Mitsubishi and was later imported back into the US in 1981 ( I have most all of the original paperwork / has an oregon title and plates ). It is very clean, but needs finishing. Motor is rebuilt, new clutch, all fluids changed, all new brake lines, new fuel lines, new carb, new cooling system, converted to 12 volt with a 150 amp GM alt. New dual AGM batteries, all new cables, brand new disc brake master cylinder kit with proportioning valve. All new plugs, wires, rotor. New 6 point roll cage, all new stainless steel exhaust, newer seats, original Japanese canvas top, all original lights. Converted the front to a narrow track open knuckle 30 front axle with all new disk brakes, new bearings, seals, rotors, calipers, brand new spicer 5:38 gears in the box and new master install kit.
