About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“WW2 1943 Jeep Willys. 1/4 ton 4 wheel drive flat head 3 speed. Runs great, brand new tires, newly rebuilt engine, new battery, exhaust, new everything just about it. If you have any questions please feel free to ask”
“1953 cj3b Willy’s. Currently has a mopar 318 v8 out of a 86 Dodge Ramcharger, also has the Ramcharger 4 speed auto trans and transfer case in it as well.
Has a Dana 44 front axle, passenger side drop, Chrysler 9 3/4 rear axle. Front axle is vacuum actuated 4×4, was planning on converting it to a push/pull knob on the dash(kits available online)
Original frame, in great shape, frame is stretched 12 inches and fully reinforced for the stretch. Stretched frame b/c I was planning on building a LJ type look, along with the need for the correct drive shaft angle. Axles have been stretched as well. Front is about 3 inches and rear is about 8. Original wheel base was about 76 inches, now is sitting around the same as a jku Continue reading →
Carl shared the video of what looks to be an M-38 that has multiple mods, including a CJ-3A windshield and an after market dash gauge. However, the body does not have a battery box lid, suggesting it is an after market body. The flat rear wheel wells also raise questions.
“Willys CJ2A. Runs and ready to enjoy as is or start restoration project. Willing to trade for boat (Fishing or Ski/Wakeboard), travel trailer or UTV of equel value.”
“1950 Jeep Willy’s M-38. Original “go devil” engine was rebuilt 300 miles ago along with a new clutch, new water pump, fuel tank, brake lines, new wheels, and 5000 lb winch.
Runs and drives great. Also has four wheel locking hubs and tow bar for towing. I have the convertible top frame that comes with the jeep. Also comes with 4 wheel chains.
This is a great rig to tow around for camping or hunting. It’s also perfect for a ranch or farm.”
Has a fiberglass body and front clip. Has upgrades that might give this some value.
“looking to trade or sell my old willys. I just dont make the time to ever work on it. it did run, but I don’t have a battery or gas tank installed currently. I do have the gas tank for whoever gets it. ran solid before.
this has mostly GM parts..has a 283 in it, sm420 tranny. has a warn overdrive.
as far as trades I’m pretty open. I’d consider trail bikes, brewing equip+cash possibly. not real interested in a other full size vehicle. I’m looking to move this because i dont work on it and it just takes up space in my garage.”
“1946 CJ2A. Has had a 289 (1964-1965 Mustang/Falcon) swapped in. Factory 3-speed (T-90) and Dana 18 transfer case (w/ E-Brake). Stock Dana 25 front end and Dana 41 rear end both with 5.38 gears. Whole body is steel but has some rust. Don’t have a windshield. Engine turns fine, trans and t-case shift smoothly. Great winter project. Comes as you see it. NO TITLE TAG IS STILL ON THE DASH.”
