About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“This vintage 1954 Willys m38a1 U.S. army vehicle is original 24 volt, runs perfectly, shifts perfectly including 4 wheel drive. as far as I can tell the vehicle is not cut, welded on, or in any other way been severely damaged or altered. The jeep is certainly not perfect or show quality / it shows dents and dings / layers of green farm paint. The floor boards in the front are solid but look as though they have seen minor repairs in the past / the jeep shows little to no rust. The wheels and tires are civilian while the spare is a military ndt with original wheel. The dash data plate shows a 1954 date / the data plate behind the passenger seat is missing / the engine that I replaced did not have a number stamped into it. As it stands this is a solid driver vehicle in great condition that is reliable and mechanically totally sound. I have always kept the vehicle garaged and have used it primarily for Sunday driving or riding around the neighborhood / vehicle has not been abused as an off-roading unit.
Mechanically the jeep was in good shape when I purchased it and over the past few years I have made some improvements and completed routine maintenance.
improvements:
– Summer 2016 – full engine rebuild and installation with correct “MD” stamped military f-134 “hurricane” engine ( done by 1/4 ton military in chickamauga, ga)
– Summer 2016 – new brakes, brake lines, all fluids changed including mechanical housings (done by 1/4 ton military )
– Fuel pump rebuild by kaiser-willys
– Original Carter carb rebuild by kaiser-willys
– Air intake cross-over tube replaced with correct unit
– Instrument cluster removed and replaced non-working gauges
– Damaged seat covers replaced
– Windshield and rubber replaced
– 24 volt waterproof spark plug wires / and new plugs
– A variety of other tasks to numerous to count Continue reading →
“1960 Willy’s Jeep cj3b. Rough but restorable. Not running. Not title but has serial plate so a title can be obtained. I have a good hood, suspension, windshield frame and gas tank to go with it.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $1100. Looks like a ’56 or later 3B.
“What you are looking at is an original 1950s CJ3B Willy’s Jeep. The Jeep is complete. The transmission shifts as it should. I have not tried to start it. It is still the way it was when I got it. These are getting pretty rare. It’s restorable for sure.
Lots of good parts.”
“1951 Willy’s CJ3A for sale, total frame-off restoration. Everything brand new or rebuilt. Converted for unleaded fuel. Approx. 500 miles since restored”
“This is not a reproduction or photocopy. It is an ORIGINAL advertisement that was carefully removed from a vintage magazine. It is a beautiful and would look great in a frame. It could be used to decorate your home, living room, hobby room, man cave, garage, bar, rec room, office, bathroom, etc.
Measurement: This is a full page ad and is measures approximately 13″ x 10.5″.”
“This an Original, “U.S. Army 1/4 Ton Jeep” Kit, Produced by the Master Craftsmen of Austin-Craft Company of Burbank, California, Circa 1940’s or so. I BELIEVE this kit to be complete, but I have not done a parts check and I make no guarantees. So, I am selling this kit based ENTIRELY on the photos, so please look them over closely. The box is very nice, as is the instruction sheet.”
