About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Im selling my CJ-2A. It’s been restored to a working condition but has its dings and scrapes. Engine, transmission, transfer case and axles have all been 100% rebuilt and restored. Driveshafts too. Engine, transmission, and case are original.
Axle have been updated from a newer cj and the front is disc brake with premium lockouts.
Comes with near mint condition soft top, reupholstered seats, and working powered windshield wiper.
Custom front and rear bumper with 2″ receiver.
Tires are new and are 12 ply, super durable.
Basically, needs some body work and it’d be 100% restored. Did I mention that it runs and drives.
Would consider trade for side-by-sides or UTVs.”
“I have a Buick v6 that came out of a willys cj 2a jeep. It had all the fancy high performance aluminum Offenhauser intake, valve covers (and other high performance bells and whistles) and Holly carb,. it was bolted up to the T90 so you can bolt it up to your T90 trans. If interested email me, come look and make me an offer. I have the motor mounts for the frame for it a well. I have been saving this for the past few years but running out of time, to many projects”
“1953 Willys M38 A1 military Jeep with a Chevy 305 V8, 4 barrel, heaters, 3 speed transmission it runs and drives but is a winter PROJECT. A restored Jeep like this sells for 10 to 15,000 so please don’t expect that. All the hard work is done.”
(08/19/2018) Looks great. Will need a brake job soon. Not many of the Thermador coolers around. Here’s a video of a man talking about one and showing how it works.
“I am listing my 55 for sale. It was originally purchased in Bakersfield CA by first owner, I am 3rd owner. I did an on body restoration over a 3 year period. Every nut, bolt, wire, washer, etc replaced or restored. Here’s a brief list of what was done
– engine and tranny rebuilt by prior owner (original 6 cylinder engine).
– chrome interior parts and bumper all re-chromed
– new speedo, gauges, wire harness throughout vehicle
– I replaced all 4 tires plus spare, there’s about 3-5k miles on the truck since I owned it
– customer fabricated sun visor
– swamp cooler (very rare)
“Selling a 1942 Willy’s Jeep for a friend. It has a fresh 181ci gm motor, fresh 3sp trans, fresh hd clutch kit. Disc brake conversion, warn hubs, all new suspension, new exhaust, updated wiring, new U-joints, 31″ tires, everything has been gone through. Has a dual battery set up, warn 8k winch, tow bar, heater, soft top and also have bikini top and spare parts for the Jeep, comes with electronic shot gun mount and Persuader shout gun (needs to be transferred to buyer) that comes with.”
“This Jeep is in excellent condition. It runs and drives how a new Jeep in 1948 would. It has had a frame off restoration before 2014. The drive line was rebuilt, from carb to clutch, in September of 2015 totaling nearly $7000. Documents can be provided for the driveline work. All the gauges work, and are as accurate as they would have been in ’48.
This is a true CJ2A, not a military conversion. It is a very clean example and gets lots of attention. It is the most fun you can have at 50MPH. If you would like to drive and own a REAL Jeep, this is it. No AC, no airbags, just die like a man ruggedness. You can enjoy this Jeep for a long time to come. It does have 2 lap belts for the front, they work great holding you in while bumping along the road.
The underside is just as clean as the top, showing very little evidence of little more than dirt road use. It needs the opportunity to be enjoyed off-road a bit or to take you wife to coffee on Saturday morning.
The price is OBO and all serious offers will be entertained. I am willing to ship at the buyers expense. Feel free to call or text. Jeep is located in OKC.”
