About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Your looking at a 1950 Willys Jeep in Mint Condition with a Brand New Motor (350), Cassette, Power Steering, 11 Inch Drums. This is also a custom with a PTO on the back for driving angle drive belt pulley. Located in Homedale and garaged…”
Some of the folks from Alaska Or Rust got together last weekend for a trip into the Blue Ridge Mountains via Skyline Drive, Shenandoah National Park, Rockytop Overlook, Blue Ridge Parkway, and a few other places (I don’t have a map of their exact route). If you have Facebook, you can view all the pics Bill Reiss took here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10156047526007987&set=a.10156047528832987&type=3&theater
Mike shared this unusual wagon that was supposed to be one of seven modified for use by the US military in Austria (I thought Holden modified wagons in Australia??).
“Extremely rare version from the production in the Holden plant Australia. It was only 7 pieces produced !!! Please compare that you have Google images, they will not be found. Special attention to the moldings and door buckles. 100% rarity with rarity value, value increase etc. etc. 89,200 KM
The vehicle is from military use of the US Army in Austria during the occupation and was one of the oldest military vehicles of the Austrian. Society of the Red Cross in 1951 in Austria.”
“This truck is in very good mechanical condition. It had a major rebuild by the previous owner and all the important mechanical components/systems were rebuilt, replaced, or confirmed to be in good working condition. Truck came from New Mexico so the frame and body steel are very solid with minor rust. It is 99% original or appropriate replacement parts. The body and paint is what you would expect for a truck that’s 64 years old, the usual scratches, minor rust, and dings. F head 134 Cubic inch, four cylinder, three speed, Hi Low range, 4WD. It’s a great truck to just drive for fun or a good candidate for the next level of restoration.”
TJ’s got this project 3B for sale. Includes additional parts and an overdrive.
“This is a running and driving project, with a Buick V6 and 3 speed. Will need the tail lights rewired and an alignment to make it road ready.
Recent professional carburetor rebuild, new tune up parts, and all new metal and rubber brake lines and proportioning valve, on an ATV Manufacturing 4 wheel disc brake conversion.
New shocks, steering stabilizer, and 33 x 12.50 x 15 Nitto Grapplers on New American racing wheels.
Pictured are new and used parts to update the Jeep, new ATV overdrive and power steering conversions, seat belts, used Weiand intake and Holley carburetor, new headers, power steering pump. brake booster, etc.
The rear axle is a Dana 44, regeared with posi unit to 4.88 ratio. Gears, posi unit, and bearing kit are included to do the front axle.
Not pictured is the front hoop, tubes, and plates to complete the front roll cage.
The Bestop top and doors is good, two areas pictured could use repair.
The transmissions are a Borg Warner Super T-10 with shifter and Advance adaptor, and another T-10 for parts.
The paint is fair to good, with areas like the factory seam below the door openings where it looks like poor prep or someone trying to disguise the factory seams there. Frame and front sheet metal are excellent, no rust or rot. The tub front floors have been patched at some point in it’s life.
“As a project that’s why it’s in parts! Have a clean straight body coe Jeep sitting on a lifted cj5 4wd frame with 3/4 ton axels. No motor no trans body and rolling chassis. Need gone open to offers”
“Parting out a 48 Jeep, whole or parts I just need the front Differential. Everything is in pretty decent shape but the front floor have been patched, but not very well and probably need to be redone. The frame has been converted to use YJ springs. I believe the Dana 60 in the rear is out of a 76 Ford 3/4 ton truck and measures 67 inches wide WMS to WMS, and I believe it has 4.10 gears in it but I would have to double check.
“Appears to be out of a US Army jeep pre 1950’s. It’s all here, from the fan to the clutch including the bell housing. Didn’t magna-flux it, but can’t see evidence of any cracks in the block or head.”
(08/24/2018) This is a 3B, but with a 3A body. It still has the f-head and no hole in the hood! Needs windshield glass. Has some Allstate or Husky hubs.
“53 Willys CJ3B with a CJ3A body. Frame, transmission, transaxle, axles etc all original. F-Head engine with aftermarket carburetor fits under uncut 3A hood. 1″ body lift. 12volt upgrade. Ford Alternator. Electronic ignition. All new custom wiring. Aftermarket radiator. Several other upgrades. Undercarriage and inner tub rhino-lined. New master cylinder, lines, and shoes. Painted in ’60s Vietnam era green. 9k lb winch. Hella driving lights. Still needs a little work to make it top notch but have tons of new parts to do it. Custom bumper started. Also have all the original parts that were removed to be upgraded including generator, carb, radiator. Had planned for it to be a platform for working around the property but the bed isn’t long enough. Just needs windshield glass put back in to pass inspection. Possibly trade for 4wd Toyota pickup, Tacoma, Landcruiser, any year 4wd Dodge or Ford pickup.”
(10/04/2018) Looks like some value here. Not everything goes that’s shown in all the pics in the ad.
“For sale: Two 1947 jeeps with many parts to put them together with. Not everything in the pictures goes with them, but most do. Sorry, but it was difficult to get good pictures due to the crowded space. Parts include motors, transfer cases, transmissions, float heads by Willy, bolts, water pumps, crank shafts, engine blocks and more. $2000.00”
