Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I can’t tell how solid the bed is.
Borg-Warner had this March 19, 1949, ad published in the Saturday Evening Post, page 49. Looks more like a Jeepster ad than a BW ad.

Original post 2014: This is a collection of Aero Bobcat Airport jeep photos. A couple may still be on eBay
1. “A vintage 1954 original photo depicting Willy’s Aero Jeep undergoing test at the proving grounds at Aberdeen MD. Original press stamp and caption with a JAN 8 1954 stamp date are on the verso.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $9900.
“I purchased this Jeep from the nephew of the original owner. He did a complete refurbishment of the body, frame, and interior. The engine was rebuilt about 7000 miles ago. All brakes and lines were replaced. New Best Top installed. Since I’ve owned it I’ve done the following;
New Tires
New Fuel Pump
Installed Electronic Ignition (I have the points and condenser)
New Starter
New Head Gasket
New Exhaust Manifold
Rebuilt Carbeurator
New Plugs, Cap, Rotor
New Plug Wires
It is always stored in the winter. I just pulled it out of the barn last week and it started right up. Runs great and goes down the road at 45 no problem. It has the original owner’s manual in the glove box, too. Please email with any questions. Asking $9900 obo.”

“1950 Willys. 4 wheel disc brakes. Rock crawler automatic transmission and power steering. Half cab or open with roll bar. 2 sets of wheels and tires. Air conditioning, V6 engine with headers and new dual exhaust. 12000 lb winch. $10000 or trade.”

“350 motor 4 speed with 30% overdrive twin sticks. 5:38 gears arb air lock rear and lock right front. Custom solid frame. And a lot more. Runs good and goes anywhere!”

“You have to see it. Lights Horn and Siren all work. Built on a Riding Mower Chassis. This would be great for Parades and shows. 6 speeds forward and 1 reverse. I know the right person is out there and wants it.”

“1947 Willys cj2a 68000 miles
All origional except for tires and wheels. Bought to restore, but isnt fitting in health wise. Starts and runs. Have some new parts. Asking what I paid. Clear title.”
