I just bought this for a few buck on eBay. How about this crazy contraption for running dunes? The postcard is a jumbo 6.5″ x 9″. I looked for more information about it, but all I could find was a reference in a book by J. Conrad and Kathyln Dunagan about a Jeep developed in the sand dunes (see bottom pic).
“Jumbo Antique Postcard 1970’s Chrome Famous Sand Hills Jeep Texas Sand Dunes”
Google result that shows a reference to a “jeep ride”
The buy now price is only $7.99.

New battery, spark plugs, and ignition coil or condenser. Brake pedal is loose, and likely only needs a flush.

“Has been stored under shed for last several years. Has new motor, new paint, new wiring harness, new seats, new brakes. Need a top, I have the framework for it, just no canvas. It’s a 3 on the 3 shifter. Very rare and hard to find vehicle, only 4066 were made. They range from $8,000 to $50,000 depending on condition. To be finished it needs bumpers, top canvas, better tires and rims, more wiring (have it just not installed) radio and antenna, and undercoating.”
Seller has the title, but it isn’t in his name. This is a 2A that’s been modified to look sore of like a 3B.

“I have owned this jeep for about a year. I have a clean and clear tile in my hands. It is in overall great shape and starts and runs great. Also included is a repair manual and a few boxes of miscellaneous parts. I purchased this jeep with the intent to restore and use as a UTV on my land in Michigan. However at 6’3 220 it’s a little too small for me and I have since picked a Series 3 Land Rover for that purpose. Please read below for detailed info.
The tub on the jeep is custom made from ~ 1/8” steel. The dash, hood, etc is original. I sanded the body down to remove all surface rust, coated it with por 15, and then sprayed on Liner Xtreeme Olive Drab Bed Liner. This body should outlast all of us. Also new tail lights and all ignition wiring. Continue reading
