This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. A big thanks to Jim for finding this brochure in old box of files, then sending it my way gratis. It shows the EasyLok Hub, manufactured by the Mechanex Corp, a devision of Tenneco, out of Englewood, Colorado. You can learn a little more about the EasyLok hub’ s history in this post.
Mechanex Corp patented another hub in 1978, but I don’t recognize the hub.
I have no date yet on this ad from the Russell, Burdsall, & Ward Bolt and Nut company.

(03/03/2019) It’s been modified into 4WD. It has the rare 0-8 KS speedometer.

“1947 Original Willys Jeep 4×4
CJ-2A was the first civilian jeep after WWII.
It was running but it hasn’t been started in awhile so would need a new battery.
Right front tire would have to be replaced, has a spare tire.”
