UPDATE: We read through the ER Docs notes online this morning. We discovered that there was mention of the uterus going through the muscle wall. Why the ER doc did not mention this to us, I can’t say. But, when we did the research, we found her symptoms match that diagnosis. We now feel we are onto something. She’s been making calls all morning to arrange a local emergency hysterectomy with a local gynecological group (we think we have VA approval for this … still working the system). Now, we are just waiting on return calls.
Original post: Just a few updates today. We spent most of yesterday in the ER with Ann doubled over with lower abdominal-area pain. Just like our Nov 20th ER visit in Seattle, the docs could find no clues as to what is causing it. There’s no infection, no signs of any internal organ problems, no increase in white blood cell counts, etc, etc. So, they concluded it’s a uterus problem (and she did have surgery on it last month), but offered no specifics. They said it something they said they couldn’t address, and they sent us home late last night with pain pills. Frustrating!!!
