Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. John shared this one. This looks in good shape, though I think replacing that front bumper would help improve the look. That said, this jeeps is registered as a 1968, so not sure if that will cause a titling issue in some states.

“1957 Jeep cj5 Willys pretty original runs great started up after winter on first try with a starter fluid. Took her for a 15 minute spin with no issues. Four-wheel-drive, high and low works brakes have been fixed and stops as good as any car with 4 drum breaks. Willing to take you for a test drive. This is by no means a show quality restoration. Was done by a gentleman in Maine in a garage on a budget. Tub has been patched up. From 10 feet away. The jeep looks amazing. Great driver used it all summer last year. If you don’t like attention, don’t waste your time. This Jeep draw more attention than a Ferrari. If you don’t like attention, this is in the car for you. Got this Jeep to go get ice cream run with the kids. Turns out that I spend more time getting beer. If you have questions PM. Jeep is roadworthy and registered as a 68.”
Seems like some value here. Needs steering wheel at the very least.

“It’s a 1946 Willys CJ2A tilt up shell, full drag chassis built by Rick Thomas in Hesperia ca., Wally World Custom paint. 568 C.I. Dart Big M. Gary Williams 1150 Dominator, Reher Morrison intake, heavily worked Dart Pro 1 heads, Ron Davis radiator, Eagle rotating assembly, Jessel rockers, oversized .904 Howard’s solid lifters, custom cam from Forsyth speed, Ross custom pistons, Custom Hooker headers, pro star 500 pump, Best of the Best from front to back. in this configuration it made 989 hp on an engine Dyno, but can easily be de-tuned to 800hp. I have complete professional build sheets. PowerGlide w/4500 stall (2k HP build), scatter shield and drive line loop. Modified Dana 60 (4 link) w/removable wheelie bar, spool w/6.17 gears, 35 spline Mosers. Areospace brakes, QA1 shocks w/adjustable height linkage. I Have a complete ledger of the build. make me an offer.”

“I have this set of 4 very cool and very rare 1970 jeep renegade wheels. They have the 5×5.5 wheel pattern. I bought them for my 59 ford f100 but will not work for what I am doing. They will fit Jeep. ford, international scout. They are in very nice shape.”
