About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1946 Jeep Willy’s. Clean Texas title. Asking $7500 trade or best cash offer. Really looking for a pair of waverunners or a boat possibly. The jeep has tons of new parts and customizations on it. A really cool Jeep. Needs a little tinkering to be really great. Thanks”

Maury spent some time with Lawrence Elliott, a retired jeep mechanic, and took a few photos of him with his jeeps. Lawrence also re-manufactures bell cranks with bearings, so Maury was curious about that, too (see an example here). I’m hoping to visit both during my trip east this May.
Maury writes, “Lawrence thinks he’s owned about 28 jeeps over the years. Now, he has an early 1960’s(?) jeep truck that he has turned into a nice restomod, with a Chevy V6 engine and Ford 9″ rear axle, among many other modifications. He also has a CJ6 under build, as well as an M38A1, which have Chevy motors as well. On the CJ6, he created an adapter to mount a Ford Ranger steering box to replace the original Ross gearbox.”
(11/05/2017) Seeing that “Beware” sign has got to be intimidating!
“1944 Press Photo Private Allan Robertson drives a jeep in Florence Italy
This is an original press photo. Driving this jeep through a street in Florence, Private Allan Robertson, Birmingham, Ala., pauses to read a “Beware Enemy Snipers” sign on the side of a building. Photo measures 9 x 7.25 inches. Photo is dated 8-19-1944.”
The door side panels on this look interesting. Perhaps a faux bamboo look??
“1950 Willys Jeepster, 4 cyl. F head motor, 3 speed on the column with working overdrive, runs and drives great, good top and drop in windows, licensed and safety up to date. small amount of rust in floors but not bad for a 68 year old car.”
Floors looks a little rough, but otherwise looks good.

“1961 Willys 4X4 Overland Wagon. Rare ranch doors, the 226 Hurricane flat head 6 motor was rebuilt by A&F motors 3,500. and has no more than 1,000 miles on it. The engine compartment was repainted when the motor was rebuilt. The truck runs and drives great starts right up every time. Carb was rebuilt 6 months ago. I was in the process of restoring this vehicle but have to move in less than 60 days. Must sell. I restored a 1959 8 years ago and it brought 15,900 on Ebay.
This is an easy project does need body work and paint. You can rat rod it as is. That seems to be what everyone is doing these days. Nice interior and rat rod exterior. The side windows, seats frames. cushions, headliner are out of the vehicle except for the driver and passenger side windows and front windshield and both rear glass All the glass is there along with all interior side moldings. The side panels are in good shape and the oak floor strips are in nice shape and are solid. The left rear wheel well has some rust through about 9 inches long as seen in the picture.
“Old cj5 for parts or off road. No engine. Transmission good. Body rough. Has roll bar and nice seats. Frame good with newer brake lines and warn lock hubs. No title.”
