About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“CJ for parts.
Mostly complete, AMC 304 V8, 3 speed, dana 20 tcase, D20 rear and D30 front.
Good diffs, good frame, good tranny and tcase.
I have no info on the engine, it does not run and will need a complete rebuild or use for parts.
Tub has rust in front floors, although rear is pretty nice, roll bar is good, grill is good, no fenders, no windshield, no tailgate.
Tires are in good shape (just street tires)
No title, bill of sale only. you can apply for lost title, thats up to you.”
“I had great plans to take a complete 1947 CJ2A w/Great Engine (I have video of the engine running), but it’s been for sale for about a year now and I would like to move it on. I should mention that it has the 1947 model year McCord heater, for the passenger compartment. It’s an option and I’m guessing that’s rare and would be somewhat collectible.
Price wise, my understanding is that the running engine alone should be worth about $1K. So to help move things along and make it easy, my thought is to sell the whole jeep for $1,000 – you get the good engine and all the rest of the original 1947 parts – no problem! I’m also open to offers, so if $1K is too much, what works for you? Another way to shave down the price a bit is for me to keep to few of the pieces (like the grill and windshield) and you can have the rest at a reduced cost.
All of these parts are located in Winona, MN and are available for you to stop by and see about anytime.
This price assumes that you will pick up and haul the jeep from Winona – delivery may be possible for an extra fee, just ask and we’ll see what can be worked out.
So, this would be a great winter project – maybe a family project or just something fun!”

“Here’s the tub and front clip that I had planned to use to restore a 1947 CJ2A. I’ve had this on sale for about a year and I’d like to move it on.
Earlier this year my ad read: CJ2A body tub repaired with some alterations. Tail gate eliminated. Flat fender grill in good shape. Flat fender style hood in bar metal – straight but needs prep and paint. Good for custom build. $1,800 ($2.5K on eBay)
So at this point, I’m dropping my price to $1,000 (about 1/2 what I was asking) and if that’s too much for you, make an offer you’re comfortable with – no problem!
All of these parts are located in Winona, MN and are available for you to stop by and see about anytime.”
Price seems optimistic given the rust and mismatched top. This might also have a steering upgrade.
“1954 willy 3b high hood. Rebuilt motor and tranny. Original 4 cylinder, new radiator, windshield and brakes, line lock brake system. Both seats good shape ..no rips. No rust in floor board ect. Full cage roll bar.”
Looks nice. Sounds like the seller is flipping it after buying it at an estate sale.
