“Well, I used to find stuff like this all the time.Not so much anymore.This is 1958 Austin Gypsy. British early SUV.There are very,very few of these in North America. I found this up in the Sierra Nevada mountains of Northern California. Where it had sat in a field since 1972. The seller said it was pretty much rustfree. Until we pulled it out the dirt it that sank into.Showing rust along both lower rocker areas due to said dirt. There is also rust in the tool box bottoms where someone bolted in a rollbar a long time ago.
Rest of the body and frame are not bad. The original engine turns over fine and looks like most everything is there. The front differential and axles are missing. Though part of it and the front driveshaft are in the back area of the Gypsy. The engine turns over nicely.The wheels and hubs are al free and move nicely. This truck has sat for over 45 years. It will need everything. But what a neat vehicle to work with.
I travel around the West Coast with my truck and trailer and might be able to get it to you or close”

Selling my 1948 CJ2A ‘Lefty.’ Added some additional info today to clear up confusion and answer questions, plus added new photos from 12/14. Original motor although the Willys is not all original. Motor runs well but could use brake and carburetor work like most need. Some added plate in rear bed and complete with soft top. Spoke wheels shown are on vehicle, 5 additional steel wheels go with rig for right price. The 5 additional regular rims come with OLD snow tires that are not usable. Year of manufacture license plate from Spokane county stays with the jeep so you don’t need to register every year. I do have a roll bar that can be included if desired. Please direct questions or interest to the ‘Reply To’ address or text as shown and please let me know your email for replies. With the busy season, I will get back to you as soon as I can”

“Outstanding Willys Jeep M38 4×4 with Army & MASH painted appointments! Fully documented history since leaving the Arkansas Federal Military Surplus in 1972! It remained an Arkansas truck until 1999 before going on display for 19 year in the Evergreen Historical Automobile collection! A great example that comes with a 6-foot service trailer, black out lights, shovel & axe, and more! Neat piece for any collection!

“Classic 1958 Willy’s CJ3B in great condition. This old timer is ready to find it’s new home. I have completely gone through this beauty. New suspension with 2 1/2″ lift, new shocks, steering stabilizer, brakes, rebuilt steering box, complete service front to back including all fluids and fresh tune up. She runs like a top, 4×4 is smooth and quiet. Also includes 3 tops! the new bikini top, a military canvas top and the complete full top with doors. it’s hard to find one this nice. it just passed a thorough State inspection and is road ready. Very good body, could use fresh paint. It underwent a restoration by the previous owner and I have all the documentation. It’s hard to find one this nice. “Price lowered! 1943 MBT 1/4 ton trailer, based on frame number. New tub, wiring, lights and tires. Tires mounted on combat rims. Brake handle works, but have not gone thru and adjusted the brakes. Still needs reflectors”
