This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Not sure how much value is here. It appears to have Dana front hubs (a forthcoming topic).

“1949 CJ2a. Excellent condition for year. Solid frame with no rot. The body is original steal with very little rust. Floor pans and tool box are solid. The Jeep is running and currently on road. Original L134 in it. Recent conversion to 12v, but I still have all of the 6v parts. The brakes are new from the pedal to the pads. The steering linkage is new, as well as rebuilt king pin bearings. New gas tank Runs excellent. Paint needs to be redone but excellent start for a complete resto. Also have plow frame with 6 volt pump. $8000.”
This has a Sears hardtop and might have some later model Free-Lock hubs.
