About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Ground up restoration of 1953 Jeep. Runs beautifully and very clean. Single owner. Over $18,000 invested in restoration. Less than 900 miles on the engine since the rebuild.”
“This is a post Korea, early Vietnam veteran. Converted to 12 vt with turn signals. Painted the correct Olive Drab Semi Gloss with stars. Includes a back seat (not shown), Jerry can, service manual, and spare tire. Will do 60 plus in high range and 3 mph in low (walking speed).”
Missing some parts and needs some electrical work, but the body appears solid.
“Vehicle is in good running condition, charges and brakes.
Drivetrain is noisy, but has been serviced with new GL1 gear oil and shifts smoothly through all gears.
4wd works fine in all configurations.
New seat covers.
Engine electrical is good – chassis electrical needs going through.
Wipers need service.
Tires look good.
Solid vehicle for full resto or fun runabout with a bit of work.”
“This is a Jeep M677 FC built for the USMC. Supposedly only 1000 of these were built and very few are still in existence. I am unsure of the year. It is not running but the front and rear diff does freely turn and appears to be all original but the engine is not. It appears to be an inline Ford 6 cylinder. Feel free to contact me with any questions.”
Looks like this was a pretty good build at some point.

“1948 Collectible/safe daily driver Jeep, 4 wheel drive, high/low, beauty that runs and drives great. Original flathead, 4 cylinder “go devil” motor. Drive it, while it becomes even more collectible as it turns 70 years old !!!!!

Great tires, spare tire is brand new. All lights work, blinkers added. Blast to drive. 3 speed on the floor.”
The “popular head swap”? I’m pretty sure he means engine swap …
“948 willys overland jeep
fuel: gas
title status: clean
transmission: manual
this truck I recently found in a garage in the marina district of San Francisco. it had not ran since 1995. so I guess you could call it a barn find. I trailered it home, flushed out the gas tank, replaced the fuel lines, dropped a new 6volt battery in it, replaced the coil and adjusted the points. it fired first try after purging the empty fuel system. completely rust free, it has the popular head swap which puts the carburetor through the hood, that is the only mod. this won’t last long.”
If by military wheels the seller means combat rims, then this could be a good price!
“1946 cj2a jeep no title extra front and rear axles extra frame section with pedals attached also comes with 5 spare military style wheels. The jeep has an overhead valve f head motor and body is rusted out. Best offer.”
