This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Beautifully restored 1948 Willy’s jeep, very low mileage, garage kept except for the past few weeks. It has a 50 ft heavy duty winch tat works, body in prefect condition. Original engine. For more information plz message. It’s been I the family for over 50 years and has been well taken care of. It will start but needs carbonator rebuilt, tires, and a battery. It’s a true classic. May be willing to trade for a newer truck, depending.”

(03/09/2018) Appears solid, but I can’t tell if the boy has imperfections or if the glossy paint is making it look that way.
Oh my! This has a rare DJ-3A air cleaner. If someone buys this jeep, I’d be interested in that air cleaner.

“Unfortunately I have to sell my Jeep. Was extremely hard to find one of these. Body is decent compared to the ones out there but still will take a lot of restoration. Needs glass, no motor or transmission. Really good project for that Jeep enthusiast. Comes with bill of sale 1800 or trade for good commuter car that gets 30+ mpgs pm with any questions”

“This is a project I started, and found out I just don’t have time to complete…. I have over 4500$ invested plus the time to install rear brakes, floor, get running properly etc…the running gear of this truck is what truly drives the value, making it a viable project. If buy it now is used, I will include home made flatbed, with fiberglass tool boxes(will include a pic later)I WOULD NOT BE SELLING except my wife says it needs to be gone…. my loss is your gain…..”

Seller lists this as a 1948, but it’s a DJ-3A body. I messaged the seller to let him know.
