Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a nice smaller size collectible in played condition. Missing one hubcap, tailgate, and part of the windshield. I have seen these referenced as friction cars. It does make a winding sound when pushed on the floor, but doesn’t “take off” (if that’s what it’s supposed to do).”

“I am selling this 1967 CJ-5 (Willys Jeep) My plan was to purchase this and fix it up as a hunting jeep. However, I am not a mechanic and do not have the time to fix it up. My wife and I are retiring soon. It has been in my barn for 2 years. *V6 Engine *Standard Transmission *Kelly Hard Top *Good Snow Tires *Has many of the original parts *Does run but needs work (Not roadworthy) *4wheel Drive/Goes into Gear *Not sure about actual mileage This is a great project for the right person. “1947 Willy’s Jeep CJ2A. M38 body CJ3a windshield T-90 3 speed 283 small block Chevy Motor is good, just pulled it to replace the distributor and I take manifold. Motor is still out, I don’t have time or desire to finish it. Trades welcome. Note the reversed springs on this. It might be a late 1956 model.

“Make offer – mostly original 46 column shift. Runs,drives,stops. Matching numbers, solid wheels, new seats(original frames), shifts smooth. Comes with original key coil and other parts. Leaks little oil (rear main). Very original. I am 3rd owner. Little rust in the typical places. Reason for selling: running out of room in the garage, I have 2 other Willy’s I’m restoring.
