About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(02/15/2017) I don’t see anything that suggests the 1945 is in fact a 1945.
“These two beauties are project willys jeeps need to be restored and do not currently run. I have not tryed to start them since I’ve had them.I have one complete 1947 cj2a willys jeep with title. A 1945 cj2a willys jeep rolling chassis title in hand complete drivetrain and running gear, minus tub. I have 2 fenders ,windshield frame and a radiator for the rolling chassis. Both jeeps motors (go devil’s)turn over freely, but do not run. The 1947 has the head off to inspect cylinders which look good. Alot of new parts which includes motor gasket set gas tank and other parts totaling over $1000. Frames are patched over the years on both. The tube has bondo and some ugly metal work done to it… I was going to patch the tube with new patch panels and buy a new tub for the rolling chassis. Everything is there just needs to be restored or leave as is for a rat rod look. Asking $4200 which is a steal on these two old pieces of military/american history!!! Price is some what firm. Can deliver with in reason or extra cash I’ll deliver anywhere cash in hand. Any questions please call, if your reading this they are still for sale. Will consider trades for Chevrolet cars or trucks 2wd and 4×4. Any thing old really, selling because of loss of interest in them and to many project’s.”
“I have an original 48 Willis jeep has military tires with spare all the lights gauges and seats are there. Needs a starter and a tune up and it will run just don’t have time to work on it. Does have a couple rust spots but for being a 48 it’s rust is minimal. Brakes work wheels turn. Cash is preferred but I’d possible trade for a gas saver car I’d like it to an auto but not against a manual.”
“1948 willys jeepster very clean body and frame very little rust ,would make a good resto mod ,street car or make it a 4×4 ,has no motor or transmission, but is a clean classic car to do something cool with ,if you have the talent and time :)”
“1946 willy cj2a project tub has new floor pans replaced and tail gate removed and filled in 80% of the sheet metal work completed comes with both fenders, grill, windshield, and frame, missing hood.”
“No title, only bill of sale. Can register in Vermont and convert to MD/VA. Willy’s CJ2A without engine, but most all else is there. Frame, running gear, transmission, transfer case, original brass? radiator. Body is rough. When these icons are gone that’s it! I can maybe deliver, distance depending.”
I think something was trapped in the grille and broke out. Yikes! Thanks to Bill for sharing this one.
“Here’s a 66 CJ5 Tuxedo Park edition . Needs some TLC . Has a 4 cyl. motor , rare 3 on the tree, PTO winch with 1000 feet of game recovery cable (kind of small) . On non op .Runs ,needs a fuel pump has an electric one now. ‘
(03/29/2017) If you put $15k into it, you might get $15k out of it. Has mods and the wrong head or engine.
“Early GPW. No Ford insignia yet. Willys motor. Does not run, but steers. It has sat for a long time. Will cost 5k to restore, but will be worth 15-25k post restoration.
Will entertain all reasonable offers.
Alabama does not require a title on vehicles this old.”
