This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1951 willys runs great, has new trasfercase seals, new mirrors, new diamond plate rear corner panels, new taillights, new fuel pump, converted to 12v, has an extra set of Spicer hubs, has a fram oil filter housing, 2 sets of trasfercase seals, it has a tj soft top converted to fit, also has a stero and speakers, Heavy duty front bumper with a great tow bar Needs brakes,tailgate and windshield/wipers. Runs great just needs some tlc”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
Runs and drives, though the battery died over the holidays.
“This is truly a magical Jeep DJ-5, which was originally in service in Las Vegas, NV. After being decommissioned the Jeep was relocated by the previous owner to Tucson where it has sat unused for sometime. I have done as much digging as possible about this DJ-5, but what I’ve discovered is mostly from going over the Jeep.
Here is what I know:
– The original Audi designed engine has been replaced with a indestructible 1978 AMC crafted in-line 6 cylinder, which was specific to the DJ-5.
– The transmission has been replaced and has less than 50 miles on it.
– The underside of this DJ-5 is pristine. NO RUST. The body does have rust, but is all cosmetic and could easily be cleaned up.
– Interior is in good shape. The original mail tray has been removed and left side passenger seat added.
– The electrical/wiring needs attention for lighting. Both headlamps need grounding wires replaced and one front right-side turn signal needs to be replaced. Rear brake lights are working, but turn signals will need fresh wiring.

“Very early civilian Willys . numbers all match. Nearly all original. 3 speed column shift. Brakes and fuel system where completely re done 2 years ago and it has basically sat since. I haven’t been able to make the time for it. Runs ok needs some electrical work. Body has rust in the usual spots. Comes with Arctic hard top, I also have the original split screen.”
Has a rebuilt engine, but more work is needed on this..

The seller is parting out a CJ-5. The tranny/tc/Warn OD is a package deal at $600. It is the older 30% OD.
“Hood $75 Set of springs that lifted the jeep 2-3 inches $100 Windshield frame was never paid for so it is for sale again $50. Passenger side fender $125. Transfer case and transmission with Warn overdrive $ 600 as a unit. the overdrive is 29 tooth. Is an older version 30% overdrive. It takes a special 6 prong tool to remove the barrel gear from the transfer case, that is why i am hoping to sell it with the transfer case.”
Seller posted this as a CJ9 hardtop. The back may be a little damaged.
