About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

Original Post — Jan 19, 2013: Here’s a jeep train out of Key West, the ‘world famous ‘Conch Tour Train‘. You can still find the Conch Tour Trains wandering Key West. Here’s a picture of one. It looks to be a CJ-5. Here’s an article about them.
Vintage Conch Tour Train Pics: Check out all those shrimp boats in the background. you can just make out the jeep trapped under the shell of the train body.
“Fairly original 1954 M38A1 military jeep. Used in the Air force during the Korean War. This jeep is very solid nothing is rusted out. Paint lettering and decals are still as it is one purchase from Air Force in military auction. Jeep runs and drives great only has 40,000 original miles on it. Motor was completely gone through several years ago. Have receipt for motor rebuild.”
It’s missing a bow holder in the front, but looks in good shape. Has a few updates.
“1947 Willys CJ2A. Southern jeep has a solid steel body that is mostly all original. New soft top. Seats are upholstered in OD green canvas. The transmission has been refreshed, The transfer case has been refreshed. The T-18 transfer case is equipped with a Saturn overdrive unit (this results in an additional gear on the highway, and allows the operator to split gears in all ranges).
The brakes have been upgrade to include all new brake lines and hoses, a dual master cylinder, front disk brakes and 11″ by 2″ Rear drum brakes (a major improvement over the original 9′ by 1″ drum brakes). Dual heaters in the cabin with separate fan controls. Currently registered with permanent 1947 antique Virginia plates which limits operation of the vehicle but it allows the vehicle to be operated with original safety equipment and no required state inspection. This jeep does not shimmy…the steering gear has been refreshed with new tie rods, ball joints, and new front springs…there is no play in the steering, Runs and drives like a 1947 Willys jeep should.”
Some really nice work was done on this truck. The tailgate area is particularly unique.
“1946 Willys pick-up on ’85 custom chassis
355 custom racing engine with turbo 350 tranny and 3500 stall conversion
power steering, power disk brakes, tilt steering, dakota digital guages
the list goes on and on
runs and drives great”
