Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This vehicle is a great candidate for a restoration and or driver. It’s completely original and unmolested. It has been converted to 12volt and had aftermarket tires installed sometime threw its life. It was used by the Ga forestry service early on and owned by a farmer for the last 20-25 years. I have a love for jeeps and recently purchased the vehicle to restore. However I have since found a 1942 willys mb I’m interested in. I’m looking for a good home for this Jeep. Someone to bring it back to original.
Needs an engine at the very least.

Craig spotted this fiberglass-bodied project. It includes a brand new top.
“1976 CJ5 project. New fiberglass tub, windshield frame, hood and fenders. (2) soft tops included. One soft top is new and in box still ($800). Drivetrain & frame are solid and have been painted black. Engine is original inline 6 cylinder and will need to be rebuilt. 33×12.50 tires are new and have never been on the road. (They have been sitting for a few years) No seats included but I do have a box of interior parts etc. No title, sold with bill of sale. This is a clean Jeep project and would make a fun toy for next summer.

Paul spotted this photo of a CJ-5 used to navigate the length of the 85-mile Delaware Aqueduct in 1957, still the longest tunnel in the world (construction photos). This was the last time the tunnel was navigate in its entirety. Because of the knowledge gained during their survey, the last living member of this party, Victor Feigelman, was consulted on the state of the tunnel up until his death in 2016.
If you zoom into the area just above gas inlet you’ll note the warning: USE WHITE GAS –ONLY–. The need to limit effluents inside the tunnel also explains the odd exhaust setup.
From Wikipedia, the Delaware Aqueduct … takes water from the Rondout Reservoir through the Chelsea Pump Station, the West Branch Reservoir, and the Kensico Reservoir, ending at the Hillview Reservoir in Yonkers, New York. The aqueduct was constructed between 1939 and 1945, and carries approximately half of the New York City water supply of 1.3 billion US gallons (4,900,000 m3) per day. At 85 miles (137 km) long and 13.5 feet (4.1 m) wide, the Delaware Aqueduct is the world’s longest tunnel.

There’s some value, but hard to tell how much.
“I have 3 CJ2A Willys jeeps for sale. They are in varying states of condition. None run, all have engines and trannys. 2 have original engines and 1 has a ford engine. I have many parts for these even some steel patch panels for the floors. Projects that never finished and cant now. They all roll although there are a few flat tires. If I parted these out I could get more than what I am asking for them.
They are located on my ranch west of Trinidad Colo.
I do not have titles for any of these.
Asking $2200 for all three and would like to not separate.”
