Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The seller lists this as a 1954 brochure, but given there’s a chart dated “May 1955”, I’m gonna guess this is more like 1955 or 1956. The auction ends about 8am PST Saturday.

This brochure was designed in Zurich. This copy was sent to Willys Afrika circa 1960(?). It’s for sale out of Great Britain, so there’s a hefty charge for mailing to the US.

“You are bidding on a rare prototype ford jeep known as the GP. This is a very early first series GP. Although incomplete it comes with many parts. The frame is in excellent condition. The tub will need repair and I’m including the front and rear floor replacement panels. Here’s a quick list of included items but I do have more that goes with the project. I have a title that matches the vin on the frame. This is your chance to get your hands on one at a very reasonable price.

“Here’s your chance to own a classic piece of history! This little jeep is in pretty decent condition and runs like a top with it’s original 134ci 4 cylinder engine and 3spd transmission…
It’s bright yellow paint with black trim has garnered the name “Bumble Beep” and it definitely grabs some stares when people see it! It is a very solid southern tub and frame that looks to have been restored 15-20 years ago but does have a few rust bubbles starting on the fenders. The 4×4 drive-train is good and solid which all seems to work as it should and drives much better than you would expect from this type of vehicle!
This would make a GREAT wagon for the hunter heading to the not so accessible areas or to hook behind your motorhome and head to the mountains on vacation! It has it’s original bench seat, all the lights and signals work along with the unmistakable jeep horn “BEEP BEEP”…….. It has the spare mounted to the side and the G.I. can on the rear which can come in handy out in the Boonies! The only thing that I can say doesn’t work is the fuel guage…
If your tired of looking at the junk out there but would really like to have an old jeep from this era then you really need to take a look at this little fun wagon that’s ready to get in and ENJOY!!!”

1977 JEEP CJ7 4×4 WITH THE LEGENDARY STRAIGHT 6 MOTOR AND MANUAL TRANSMISSION!!!! NEED A JEEP TODAY????? THIS IS IT!!!!
This Jeep was built last year, AUG 2016, and runs like a top!! It has beautiful ORANGE paint with the old school RENEGADE decal kit that looks amazing! 1977 was the second year of CJ7 production and this jeep runs and drives like it should!
