Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “GR Auto Gallery is pleased to bring to market this gorgeous and freshly restored 1959 Willys DJ3a for your consideration. This example is powered by its original L134 “Go Devil” engine paired with a 3 speed on the three manual transmission. This Surrey tribute is not documented as a Surrey but before its restoration at had some parts leading towards evidence of it being one including chrome rear bumper, Willys hubcaps, round dry air filter, front frame cover and steps.
During the restoration the top was new, carburetor was rebuilt, complete brake system was addressed and the drums were turned, the frame was redone and finished with POR15, the gas tank was also cleaned and sealed POR15 tank sealer, new exhaust, new shocks, new tires.”

“For Sale RARE 1 of 9 1962 Willys wagon traveller 2wd built for the Forestry Service. The price is $7500 or very close offer. The wagon has a good KS title in my name. I don’t have to sell it but I’m moving and probably won’t have time to get to it soon. The original engine, transmission, and shifter are missing and were when I bought it. If I build it I will change the suspension and drivetrain which really shouldn’t happen. The shifter in the pictures is just sitting on the floor and no modifications have been made. This wagon started out as a panel that was converted at the factory into the people hauling traveller that it is today. That is the reason for the rounded wheel wells. The paint is original and it is about as solid as it gets. I would say that the miles and interior are original. The spare tire mounts behind the drivers seat and the rear seats flip up and latch to haul other items. I bought from an estate years ago and I believe that the gentlemen likely bought it for the Forestry signs he removed from both front doors. The license plate on the back is Colorado 1970 and it was in place when I bought it. Let me know if your serious and have questions.”
It’s missing the siren/horn on front and isn’t in perfect shape, but the price seems good. Thanks to Andy for sharing.

“48 CJ 2A Willy’s Jeep Street rod, 77 Buick 231 V6, 350 TH 78 AMC 20 rear end W/3.55 gears, Brand New seats, Brand New 7 gal. Aluminum tank, Brand New yellow paint, brand new LED taillights, brand new tach, plus gauges, Aluminum Wing on top (sort of like a Sprint car style), brand new windshield, brand new fender well headers W/12″ cherry bomb mufflers and turnouts, newly polished centerline front and rear (3″-10″), 1970 MGB frontend moved ahead 16″(so ahead of grill like the old Sand drag Jeeps) which gives 11″ disc and rack and pinion steering and independent suspension. All this means not 4×4, also has power breaks, drives and handles great along with this comes a tandem axle enclosed 16′ trailer to use as a garage if you don’t have one. Ready for lots of fun, this jeep needs nothing 10,500.00 OBO”
