Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1948 CJ2a project, original type four cylinder engine and drive train. front end rebuilt, engine overhauled. runs needs carburetor replaced. gm disc brakes in front , new master cylinder, rear disc brakes partially installed. seats reupholstered. gas tank rebuilt, with sw sending unit. and gauges have top bows and and soft doors converted to 12v , gm alternator. wiring not complete. will post pics soon. clear title, have pink , registration non op. body is rough.”
Runs and drives, but doesn’t stop so well.

It has a CJ-5 body.
“1955 M38A1 with civilian body. I bought this and put a ton of time and money into it. And had fun time for something new. This had a frame off a few years back engine and trans rebuilt. All fluids changed. New tires, tubes, breaks, seats, top, paint, carb”
