About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“55 Willy’s got it as a project but got to many so shes gotta go. Runs but smokes haven’t got to the brakes or exhaust but it starts. Original gas tank is shot. Would make a cool project or parts jeep. May trade for other projects or what ever you got don’t hurt to ask. Have original title but I could do bill of sell.”
(06/25/2016) If the winch is included, this could be a good price.
“1960 jeep willys cj5 perfect project car! very little rust, straight frame, 289 V8, working 4 wheel high and low, locking hubs. 3 speed manual. Was a daily driver until a few months ago needs a carburetor tune up and one of the plugs is sparking. Newer soft top and starter (2 y/o) . comes with original hard doors and front tow bar. first $2250 firm takes it no trades”
(06/12/2016) It runs. Interesting bezels. They remind me of some of the CJ-V35U bezels.
“1948 cj2a Willeys jeep motor is strong need carb rebuild transmission and 4 wheel dr in great condition I’m asking 2000 OBO based what I have found online not sure if that’s high so feel free to make offer need gone today”
I found this article titled “Jeep Mountaineers” by Henry Zuidema in the September 1950 issue of Motor News. The magazine was so Michigan focused that they had a list of Michigan-related football games for both college and pro teams.
This combo appears worth a look. This has a rare Carson Car Craft hardtop.
“I don’t want to sell the” 45″ alone, just because. Both run , the 48 has a homemade plow set up. and I would add is crazy clean. Garaged and driven for 35 years, then I bought it. The “45” is a VEC, vin. 10365, good bones. And also comes with a great story ! Open to calls , but I have a limit on how much jeep talk I can do.”
“Decided to sell my 1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A due to storage issues. It runs great, has newer tires and brakes and is converted to 12 volts. Serious inquiries only please.”
“Have a 1951 Willys for sale. It is a stick shift with 4 wheel drive low and high… Will climb a cliff in low. Has been converted to 12 volts, has new carburetor, fuel pump and new plastic fuel tank. Brake lights head lights and instrument cluster lights all work and so do the gauges and horn. May need a little work for road worthiness but great for parades and short in town drives!! Very cool comes with antique bronze fire extinguisher as well”
“1969 CJ5. Dauntless/Buick 225 V6 runs strong. 3spd manual, showing 16346 miles, 4×4 manual hubs, nearly new 31×10.50r15 bfg mud terrains, brand new cragar 15 inch steel wheels, 2.5 inch rough country lift with new springs and shocks, rear powertrax locker, new plugs, plug wires, new choke cable, new fuel filter, rodded out and refurbished radiator, new radiator hoses, new thermostat, new distributor cap, new hood latches, fresh engine oil/filter, new oil in transmission and transfer case, rebuilt carb, new fuel lines, all lights work, gauges work, 4×4 works, transmission shifts and does not pop out of gear. Comes with bikini top and I assume all softop hardware. No frame or floor board rust issues. One rust spot on passenger rocker panel and small rust on supports of inner fenders. Clean and clear title in hand.”
“1942 Willys Ford Script GPW (General Purpose Willys) If you know Willys you know this one is rare and hard to come by! It was only made the first few months of 1942. I’m not an expert but it does have the Willy’s Grill and possibly a Ford stamped Willys frame. The engine is not original but starts and runs perfect. I think it is an early fifties F-head. Starts runs and drives great, 4×4 works and the tires are in Nice condition. Like most Willys 70 plus years old it has had modifications including a fuel cell and selecto hubs. The Body and Frame seem to be original and mostly unmolested. It has a few minor oil leaks but you can drive it down the road today! Clear Montana title in hand. If it were original it would be a $40,000 rig unfortunately those are very hard to come by! I believe the price is fair at $5800 but will consider serious offers”
