About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1946 Willys CJ2A, v6, 4spd, front disc brakes. I bought the jeep site unseen from an auction. The auction claimed it only needed a battery, which wasn’t true, and I’ve never tried to get it running. The doors (not pictured) are inside the jeep. It came with a New Mexico title, but it is now a Wisconsin title in my name. $3000 (will sell separately)
1940s Spen Model H trailer. This is the civilian equivalent to the Bantam trailers, only more rare. I’m not sure if the side rails are original, but they are well made. $1200 (will sell separately)
Willy’s running gear from a 53 pickup. The radiator, motor, transmission, transfer case, starter are sitting on a pallet and can be started the way it sits using a temp fuel can. I also have the front and rear axles with four newer leaf springs. $1200 (will not sell separately until the after the jeep sells)
Will sell everything for $5,000 or reasonable offer. Located in Black River Falls, WI.”
“1957 fc150. Bought this as a project it’s got new floors and corners welded in. Body is close, no rust. Frame is solid. Motor ran recently but is not currently wired can show video of running. Have older VT registrations but no title should be able to get one. I planned to finish this but priorities have changed. Have Complete New wire harness and all parts to put this together except headlights that I can not find. New exhaust also installed. Bed and fenders and gas tank all included. Bed has some rust but not too bad. Have all glass but rear flat glass is cracked”
(04/05/2024) This former ice-racing jeep got modified. The former owner’s son-in-law had some opinions about this on Facebook … “This was my father in laws jeep. If you knew Smitty you knew the proud ice racing history this jeep represented. Now it is a total piece of crap?. It is sad to see someone take a piece of local history and shit all over it…” ..
“After 8 years I am forced to give up my street rod project. 302 specification 4 bolt small block. Scrambler axles street geared, chrome side pipes…’98 Mustang convertible top.
Call to discuss I must accept probably nobody would finish what I started….the engine was supposed to be the best part when I bought Dirty George, a famous Colorado retired Ice Racer. Z28 spec 350 appears new inside, sounded great, but when it warmed up the engine “locked” and does so every time until it cools to restart for 5 minutes.
Duntov 40-40 cam, double hump heads etc. Big Holly leaks and would not be suitable for street use anyway…lots of spare parts one driveshaft is too long the other is too short after center-out transfer case was added with new torque converter on rebuilt transmission. 331 Jeep Scrambler axles replaced the 4;88 gears. Disc brakes. Power steering Chevy tilt steering column. Diagnosis is that rings were possibly not gapped properly on new pistons or too tight of skirts on the rebore. Scope down into spark plug holes indicates fresh parts. Oil pressure is great when running it is not the crank that seizes when it warms up. It had sat in dry storage for many years before I had a dream.”
(02/27/2024) One of them is setup with a rear facing PTO.
“Toying with the idea of selling both of my jeep fc170s. The brown one will fire but will need some tinkering to get it running. The green one has been sitting a bit so I don’t know what it will take to get it going. Paperwork for both, the green one has the rear pto, the brown one has all the parts there to make it complete minus brakes and new tires. $5,500 for both of them.”
“I have 2 Willys Jeep Tubs:
Tub 1 (1948) is in good shape, yellow in color. The picture is how it looked when it was on the frame $600
Tub 2 (1947) is in better shape, stretched 9″ along drivers compartment for extra leg room. It has grey primer on it. $800
I also have fenders ($75-100 set), hoods ($60 each) and grills ($50 each)
$1500 for everything”

The guy I got it from said it was custom built by a guy who worked as a machinist/welder at the Mines in Bagdad Arizona so he had full access to the metal shop there.
