Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Needs some brake work, but looks like a good price.

-It does have a soft top with doors
-The only major issue is the brakes need to be rebuilt (estimated cost $375 for parts)
-Body is in good condition, but there are some small areas of surface rust.

(07/19/2015) The windshield vent has been patched rather than replaced.
“1948 Willys Jeep CJ2a. Mostly stock condition. Runs great! Engine, transmission, and powertrain are all very strong. Needs wiring work for the lights. This jeep has been well-cared for, and is in fantastic shape for a Willys that hasn’t been fully restored. Ready for use on the trails, or as a daily driver around town. As with any vehicle this age, it does require tinkering. Title in hand. Please reply to this ad with any questions or for a showing..”
Has new tires. Possibly a M-38A1D?

“54 willys with high hood frame and body only . It still does front axle. I took the seats out and took back of the cab off to restore. I still have the sheet metal off the back and different seats. I got a new project. It does have a clean Mo title.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $50.
“My friend pulled this seat out of the back his M38A1. I don’t know what it’s from. Do you think you and/or your readers can identify it or eliminate that it doesn’t belong in a CJ, wagon, or something similar?
It’s about 32″ wide. Seat back is about 25″ tall from top to the apex of the curve and seat is a depth of about 18″
The seat back has a full metal support under the Vinyl that does have strength grooves. Cushions are metal springs with horse hair or coconut fiber. I’m guessing the seat is from the 40-50’s but not sure.”
It’s a project, but does have the aftermarket dash, rarely installed in CJ-5s.
“1959 Willys Jeep with a Buick V6 231 conversion turbo 400 automatic transmission 4 x 4 oversized tires great condition but is a project it does need a carburetor rear drive shaft and Tires and Brakes other than that it’s in great shape no rust 3 inch Rancho lift fold-down windshield no top it was parked about 8 years ago this is a great find and when all finished will be a monster once again any questions or if you’d like to come see give me a call please no text thank you cash money is King make offer all I can say is no”
