Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (11/29/2015) Listed as a 1956, this very well could have been a Surrey, but not in 1956. For example, note the footman loops on the fenders.
“eep is a one of 1100 made it is called a surrey gala willys jeep dj-3a 2wd 3speed it is a 1959 we just got it running after being stored indoors for 13years the jeep is a safari color with the canopy and seats to match the engine does run well just some clean up new fluids and here and theres that are being done unless I sell at moment you can research these jeeps upon the name and the rarity of the 2wd it was shipped from Hawaii from the resorts they were used on vacations for people to drive as rentals or transport clients”

“Four Willys for sale, three trucks and one wagon. This is a package deal including the trucks, wagon, extra cab for parts, extra grill assembly, three extra axles, many extra rims and tires. Will not part out individually. Years range from 1948 to 1954. The green one has a small block Corvette engine in it. Bought it from the son of the original owner, father took care of it, son blew up the Warn Overdrive a week after he inherited it. Had bought with the intention of restoring them. The two orange ones have the stock 4 cylinder, the wagon has the stock 6 cylinder, and the green one the 8 cylinder small block Corvette engine. All units have small amounts of rust and some body work needed done.”

“This is a great project rig . First off this Jeep does not run and drive! Will need to be trailered away or use the tow bar. Has a Buick V6 that needs to be replaced. The short block it still in the rig. Comes with Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, Edelbrock 4bbl carb,Edelbrock valve covers,HEI distributer,Stainless headers,Aftermarket aluminum radiator and motor accessories . Manual transmission . The Jeep has been lifted and sits on 35inch BFG’s w/ aluminum rims. Has nice Pro car front bucket seats and back seat . Was a running and driving rig 3yrs ago until it had engine failure . Great project !”

“My father-in-law and I recently bought a 1958 Willys with the intent to fix up or sale. We agreed that we would post it for sale before we tore into it too much, so that’s exactly what I’m doing. We bought it at an estate sale in Fredericksburg from a young man who said the Willys belonged to his great grandpa, but we have NO TITLE on it. Usually this would have been a red flag for me but after a quick search I found that it wasn’t that rare of an occasion to not have a title on one this age. The serial number tag is still intact on the firewall.
We put a decent set of used tires on it so we could roll it and pull it. I pulled it from Fredericksburg to Round Rock and it was just fine. There is rust all over but most of the body rust seems surface deep. There is some rust in spots on the frame, but nothing that couldn’t be fixed. I can’t tell you everything that is wrong, I’ve only had it for a little over a week.
It has a Toyota R20 motor and the standard transmission shifts into gear. I have keys for it but haven’t tried to start it yet because the young man said it had been sitting for years.
You are more than welcome to come check it out if you want to see something that isn’t pictured. Again, there is NO TITLE and I am only posting this before I start digging into it myself.”

(11/27/2015) Plenty of rust. Doesn’t shift into reverse.
“Running original Jeep Cj2a with clean title.
This has the rare factory optional bed extender.
We rebuilt the carb and started right up after 15 years of sitting in a barn.
It ran and drove but last time i started it in did not want to go into reverse. This has the column shifter so i suspect the issue is in the linkage.
I bought this to restore but no longer have the facility to do the restoration.
Would really love to see this go to a good home .
This is a rare Jeep that is still pretty solid. Worst rust is on the passenger side back corner.
Frame has surface rust but is also solid.

“1951 Navy M38 Jeep. Serial # 36689. Mileage reads 35,201. Powered by the original 4 cylinder gas engine, original 24 volt electrical system. 3 speed manual transmission, 2 speed transfer case with over drive. Comes with radio and all items in photos. The Jeep starts easily, runs and drives good. Tires are dated 1967. Some surface rust but appears to be a very solid body. We have not powered up the radio but were told it works. “1968 Jeepster Commando 4 x 4 Convertible . Vin # 8705F1726240. Mileage reads 50,383 original miles. Powered by the original V6 engine. 3 speed manual transmission with 2 speed transfer case with locking hubs. Comes with a tow bar and is wired for towing (apparently spent a lot of time behind a motor home). Runs and drives good. Has been repainted sometime in the past and has flaking paint in spots. Remarkably rust free with only one very small spot on the drivers side. The top is removable, comes with back seat that was left out in the weather and the material has been damaged. This Jeepster feels like a good reliable driver.”
