Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This listing is for a 1953 Willys Jeep high hood CJ3-B. It needs major restoration or could be used for parts. The body is very rusty and in very poor condition. The frame has surface rust, but appears solid with no cracks or rust-thru. The vehicle will roll for loading. The 4WD drivetrain is complete. The Jeep was parked many years ago by previous owner because the clutch was slipping.”
This photo appeared in the February 1956 issue of Globetrotter. The jeeps were purchased by Manila’s Labor Law Commission.

This one has some interesting history.
“1943 Jeep with custom cab and 6′ plow. Starts and runs good. Needs brake job. No title, no plates. Cab and body parts were fabricated by German POWs in the Rhine Valley. This vehicle originally carried a generator during WWII that followed the General around – it wasn’t Ike.”

Appears worth a look.
“1947 Willyz CJ-2A, Jeep runs and drives. You can drive it home. Body mounts and floors are solid. It leaks a little oil (Most do) Had the original motor and trans, Back seat and set up to run on 12volts The chasie was restored a few years ago so it is solid underneath. This is not a rusted out old jeep it is a good solid runner. But it is not a show quality jeep.”

1959 Willys Wagon with a host of features, clean title, registered in Colorado. 350 ci engine (headers, performance intake, Edlebrock quadrajet – no smoke), 700R4 tranny built for 4 wheeling, Hurst shift linkage, Dana 300 xfer case, Rancho lift kit and shocks, floating rear axles, limited slip differential, mag wheels, resto mod, maintenance/purchase records.”

“For sale: 1955 M38A1 Jeep. I started on this jeep with plans for a full restoration but found a flat fender that has pulled my attention and resources away so this one needs to find a new home. The Jeep has been converted to 12v and comes equipped with new locking hubs and has a vintage warn overdrive installed. It and runs and drives well with many new parts already installed including;
-Front and rear seat canvas and cushions
-Canvas top
-Steering Wheel
-Wheel cylinders, master cylinder, and brake shoes
-Soft brake lines
-Rebuilt original fuel/vacuum pump
-Rebuilt original carburetor
-Outer wheel seals
-All pinion and output seals
-NDCC tires and tubes
This machine has it’s share of dings and dents and would make a great trail/parade vehicle as it sits but I’m also including two more parts jeeps and several crates of parts to help facilitate a complete restoration if desired. I’m hoping to get out of M series jeeps so buyer will get everything I have for one price. There are enough parts included to finish the jeep and probably have a really good table at the swap meet for the next couple of years. I’m looking to get $6500 or best offer for the whole package. I have a clear title for the jeep and it’s currently registered with a vintage plate in Washington State. ”

“1947 CJ2A jeep. Stock. 4 cyl engine. Filled tailgate. New seats, double roll bar, tow bar, soft top and bikini top. Overdrive, Dualmatic locking hubs, 12 volt system!
Runs and drives good. Body from 1947–needs some work. Newer paint.
Jeep is registered non-op since 2011.”
