“1969 Kaiser Jeep CJ5
225 Dauntless V6, Manual 3 speed, 4×4. Almost all original. Clear MD title in hand.
A previous owner bought in Annapolis 1999 by a Marine who was stationed at Guantanamo Bay Cuba. Brought it down to the base and rebuilt engine while stationed there. He returned to Annapolis in 2000 put in storage. It has the base sticker on the windshield still!
Sold in 2012 and put in storage in Annapolis again. I purchased it this winter for a project and cannot keep it due to completing real estate school, potentially buying another house and career goals.
It has not been on the road, just driven around the farm.
The good: Rare V6. 3 speed with rear output shaft for a PTO drive. Almost all original. Runs great. 4×4 works great. Hubs lock and have no issues. All gears work fine, no issues.
Engine has new this year, battery, starter, new oil pump and oil, radiator hoses, Tstat and coolant, tune up. Original oil bath air filter is intact and functioning. Frame is good, running gear is all good. Tires are good and are on original rims which are hard to find. Lights work. Tailgate is intact and works.

“1948 Willy’s Jeep, Selling Dad’s Jeep, owned since late 60’s, runs and drives, dad rebuilt and overhead valve 4 cylinder engine, I think it was out of a 55 or 56 Jeep and still runs good. The 4 wheel drive is not working because the front differential gears broke, the jeep is in need of some rust repair, as shown in the pictures, the steps and a few places on the sides where some brackets are spot welded. The seats are the original and were re-upholstered years ago, and have been covered, one seat has got sunburned in one corner on the back, the rear cushions have been stored inside and are like new. The Jeep comes with the original engine which was running, it was smoking but know knocks, also have extra windshield, wheels, transmission, bell housing and other miscellaneous parts, new a wiring harness, wiper motor, and fender flares. I have everything loaded on a trailer and will deliver the first 100 miles for free. $1,800.00 OBO”

“This Jeep served as a fire engine for Elkridge Md in Howard County. Unfortunately it later spent too much time running the dunes on Assateague island. The body is shot, there is no motor. There is a T90 trans and Spicer 18 Transfer case. It has warn locking hubs on the front axle. I have a clear Pa title. I will also include a rough M38A1 that has a complete drive train including a running 134 F head engine.”

This photo is part of an archive of letters from a Doctor named Greg Alexander to a woman named Wilma he met on a blind date during the war and (spoiler alert) married after he returned. Titled Letter’s to Wilma, the blog tracks Greg’s life as he enters the service, through D-Day, France and Germany. One of the interesting aspects is that jeep he was assigned when he reached France (see below). Anyone know what’s on the bumper? I assume the bar on the front was to carry stretchers? Note the jeep is named Wilma.
