Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1962 Jeep Willy’s Pickup 4×4 manual locking hubs 3 speed manual Super Hurricane inline 6 cylinder engine runs strong seat was just re-upholstered also had all wheel cylinders replaced with new as well as new brake shoes and rubber brake hoses new spark plugs and wires carburetor was recently rebuilt good glass solid truck needs new gas tank (it weeps) also needs the exhaust welded and new muffler installed I have the new muffler. Clean title in my name as well as current registration till July 2015. ”
Mike forward this video from Dirt Every Day that shows them refurbishing a neglected Willys Wagon into a running machine. The episode is 22 minutes long.
Roberto Flores spotted a CJ-2A in the movie Flight from Ashiya. It´s a 1964 movie about the US Air Force Rescue Service with Yul Brynner, Richard Widmark, George Chakiris, Suzie Parker, Shirley Knight and Danièle Gaubert.
All 142 minutes is on Youtube. I haven’t had a chance to watch it yet. Roberto reports you can see the CJ-2A at 40:44 and again at 42:04.
This photo depicts a Seep acting as an ambulance in Tunisia. The photo was published on March, 29, 1943, in the Spokane Daily Chronicle.
No long a column shift, this has other VEC elements.
“I have to make room for other things so my willys jeep cj2a (civilian) has to go. Its been in many parades and car shows. Its really at home in the mountains or desert. Its a real head turner and it will put a smile on your face. Its amazing how many people tell me they had one of these when they were a kid, if that were true the road would be full of them. This is the first year for the civilian model and yes that is the original color. Many new parts but mostly original refurbished .”

“1943 willys MB jeep. Rebuilt straight 4 willys motor only has 4-500 miles on it. Only use it once a year for deer season. All wheel bearings and brake cylinders are new. Moving out of state need to sell. Currently on non-op. $3000”
Lots of updates.
“1946 Willys CJ 2A. Recent body off rebuild. 225 V-6, T-14 3-speed tranny with synchro first gear, Dana 18 transfer case all freshly rebuilt. Swing pedal conversion with brake and clutch master cylinders on the firewall. Power steering with Saginaw conversion and open knuckle Dana 30 front axle for short turning radius. 5.38 gears front and back. 11 inch brakes and stops on a dime. 2 inch suspension and 2 inch body lift. 12,000 pound winch, rear gear rack. New vinyl Besttop. Full roll cage, high back bucket seats, center console, stereo, CB, heater. This is a very solid, nice, old-school flat fender.
Spare parts also go with it including a complete Warn overdrive (just needs a new final drive gear), a Dana 44 rear axle, new in the box 5.38 Richmond ring and pinon gear set, and 4 new 16 inch black 5-spoke rims to fit your new 33’s.”

“Very Clean 1965 CJ5 “Tuxedo Park” Kaiser/Willies Jeep For Sale.
4 wheel drive, locking hubs, 3 speed(three on the tree). 4 cylinder engine, new shocks, battery, good tires, bimini top, doors w/ windows, 3 boxes of spare parts, a rear seat(don’t think it is original).
The seats aren’t original, but close.
The Tuxedo Park came with hub caps, I think these hub caps came from a later model Wagoneer.
In 1965 there were aprox. 7,400 of the Tuxedo Park model made.
