Not a perfect restoration, but nicely refurbed with what appears to be a replacement body.
“This 4×4 Willys is in excellent condition. It was professionally restored. It has a powder-coated frame with period correct wheels and tires.
It has a brand new soft top, a rebuilt engine, a 12 volt electrical conversion, rebuilt 3 speed with a 2 speed divider.
Has a tow bar mounted on the front. No need for trailer. Tires are in excellent shape. Like new.
Civilian version according to VIN.”

(11/11/2014) Lots of updates.
“High end restore of a no rust western Willy’s Overland wagon 1958….clean and straight with professional build, using a corvette 327 sbsc base and 4spd muncie trans… built and runs excellent. Much more invested. Very nice interior….zero rust body, and high end finish and paint.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
(11/24/2014) This runs and drives. It might be worth a look.
“Everything is original except top it has been converted from 24 volt to 12 volt. Original name plauqe. Runs good this would be a great resteration project! Sold as is”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $800
Jon forwarded this non-running project.
“1954 willys jeep model M170 military ambulance. Drive train is complete. I have extra pieces like top bows and air cleaner. The body is rough but repairable the engine is not running but is free turning. The original 24volt components are still with the jeep. The front fenders do come with the truck but are badly dented. The frame is extremely solid. This jeep does come with a Clean and clear TN title. Great for Father Son project. These jeeps are a rare 101 inch wheel base version. Many parts are available for this jeep including the sheet metal.”
Blaine found a flattie project and a Topeka project for sale and some other parts.
1. Flattie is $500. Dogs are worn, but the steel rims may have life. It’s sat for a long time.
2. Topeka Mower has Jeep running gear (T-98 4 sp.) limited slip dif.
I don’t know how rare these are, but I imagine there can’t be too many left.
“I have an M151 engine and Zenith carb. Which I believe have never been installed. The fellow I got it from uncrated it (nooooooooo!) a couple of years ago. Notice the picture of the valve and the original green ord. oil filter.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2800. Was listed here. Might be an APU (see comments)
“Good restoration project… all original parts… email me for more pictures. You don’t find them in this condition very often.”
UPDATE: Was $1800. **SOLD**
(12/10/2014) This stock truck runs and drives. It’s a good reason to visit San Juan Island, which is very quiet this time of year.
“I am selling my 1955 Willy’s pickup. It is totally stock . The original “Super Hurricane” six cylinder engine runs great without any smoke or knocking . The four wheel drive and trans shift and function smoothly without any clunks or grinds or any sounds at all. Cooling system hold water and thermostat works .Tires hold air.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4200.
(01/06/2015) Has an updated motor.
“Clean 52 willys m38 military jeep with a rare military hard top. Motor was swapped with Chevy 231 straight 6. Motor is from 62. Runs amazing and fires right up. Everything works and is turn key. Jeep is a real head turner and will take you ANYWHERE. Story behind the jeep was that it was in service during the korean war and was decommisoned from the military in 54. It was then used by the fire department as a utility truck and later sold to the public in the late 50’s. Whoever bought it from the fire department, professionally swapped the oriniginal 4 with the bullet proof Chevy 231. If youre looking for an awesome authentic military jeep, here it is. Clean title and street legal.”
