About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1950 Jeep CJ-3A Flat Fender
includes top
L134 4-cylinder
The Jeep was restored 18 years ago. It runs and drives good (for a 1950 CJ-3A). Good to go as is, or could be restored again if so desired.”
UPDATE: This post originally featured the press photo at the bottom. Adding to the information, I discovered an article from the May 1956 issue of Willys News discussing how the buffalo were more patiently herded by jeeps than by horses.
========================================
According to this 1951 press release, this jeep was used to round up twelve buffalo. They were shipped to Chicago for an international livestock exhibition. The watermark kind of obscures the jeep.
“You are bidding on an original press photo of Jeep Beside Buffalo in Custer State Park South Dakota. Photo has newspaper marks & waving right edge Photo measures 7 x 9 inches and is dated 11/27/1951.”
“It is a project I got handed down and ever touched. Has been stored inside for 15 years wife says It’s time for it to go and stop collecting dust. Flat head 4 cylinder motor first 1000 takes it am not desperate to sell so don’t low ball me for 66 years old it is in good shape. Definitely a project though no title but will give a bill of sale with it”
The front frame rails have surface rust, but look good, as does the bumper.
“This is a 1948 CJ2A PROJECT that needs complete restoration. It had been spoken for this Summer however the buyer had a family tragedy that forced him to pass on the project.
$595 as is or $1195 with original PTO setup included.”

“This is what I believe to be a 1958 Forward Control Jeep 150 4×4. I am not sure of the exact year. These are super rare antique forward control jeeps. This vehicle is complete, but in poor condition. The engine (hurricane 4 cylinder) turns over and the transmission shifts through the gears. I have not tried to start it. I am selling this vehicle for parts or restoration. The pictures describe it better than my words can.
I am asking $899 or best offer. If you are interested, please email me and we can setup an appointment to view it. The jeep is located in Glens Falls and we can help to transport for a nominal fee.”
