About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Restored Willys Jeep. Still needs some minor touches to complete. Always stored inside. Motor has been completly rebuilt, transmission rebuilt, new body. Original frame, motor, transmission, and front grill everything else is new and bought from Willys Overland. Serious inquires only, not desperate to sell”
Has some updated tires and wheels and a roll bar, but otherwise looks stock.
“Pretty straight 1953 Willys M38 Military Jeep. Original flat head 4cyl engine with 46,000 original miles. Seats are rough but the body is pretty straight and I drive this Jeep daily. Original 3spd transmission with an overdrive added. Really hard to find this vintage is this good of condition. Calls are preferred.”
“1953 Willys Jeep CJ-3B, all original, flat-fender, first year of the “Hurricane Four” 4 cyl F-head motor. Original 6-volt electrical system, original oil-bath air cleaner, original vacuum motor windshield wiper. It has spent its whole life in the Oregon High Desert east of the mountains, so there is no significant rust, and was driven only locally for the last 50 yrs, so it has not been “put through the wringer.” Was driven occasionally and parked in back of the house for many years, and has been in a garage for the last several. It could probably be driven away, but has rarely been run for the last 15 years or so. Probably has gas varnished up in the fuel system, and should have a hi-detergent oil run a short while before an oil change, etc. It should probably be taken to its new home via a trailer for face-lift and/or restoration. Got a bunch more pics, email-able, if you’re interested — Continue reading →
This has a Ford flathead. Might make a solid rebuild.
“This is a RARE 1952 Jeep Willys Pickup truck with a 1950’s Ford flat head V8 engine swap, the body has about 500,000 miles on it and I would guess that the engine has about 200,000 but is still in great shape and sounds pretty awesome, it still has the original 3-speed Manual Transmission with 4WD High & Low. This was my great grandfathers truck, so it’s been in the family awhile, it was last registered in 2002. It doesn’t run right now, so it would have to be towed. I had it running last summer, it basically only needs a battery and a rebuilt carburetor to get it running. Believe me this is a great project truck for anyone who has the time and money to get it done. I am asking $3000 o.b.o
I am open to trades, would be mostly interested in a 4 cylinder car.
Please text me if you have any questions or offers. Thank you!”
“1942 willys sand jeep. Project. Clean title, non-op. 2 wheel drive, extended front end, postal front axle, Ford 9 inch rear, set up for chevy V8 and powerglide transmission. Frame has been boxed and reinforced. Body is metal, straight, no cancer, some fiberglass add ons, tailgate functional, everything has been sanded down and is ready for final primer / paint. Scat track paddle tires (super scooper) and front smoothies are included. Awesome military grill with 2 flip back headlights. I also have a fresh SBC 400 and glide (no trans brake) with 3000 stall for additional cost. Motor is listed separately for $1500, trans is listed separately for $500. If you want everything I will do a package deal for $3500. Many misc. components are also included, seats, headers, roll bar, drives haft, roller street tires, fuel tank, off road lights, tilt colum, racing seat belts, etc. No trades for BS, tattoos, scammers don’t waste your time. I will remove the ad when it sells, don’t waste my time asking if I still have it. ”
(11/12/2015) That appears to be a VEC CJ-2A body with a filled in tailgate. The rear axles aren’t full floating. Might be a mix of parts. The dogs look in reasonable shape.
