Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “selling this for a relative so please ask as many questions as you like I am selling as is and welcome anyone to come see and drive in person, We have a 1942 Jeep vin GPW 152XXX it has the correct 4 cylinder motor but not a numbers match, has an aftermarket windshield and new glass, new tires, new best top, comes with lots of extra parts like transmission and transfer case, hi lift jack, the jeep runs and drives great, some body work that is showing its age, some rust has been repaired and patched on floors , but everything is solid, would like to ship via dependable auto shippers , you can call for a shipping quote, buy now or make an offer , nice jeep ready to enjoy, with over a thousand views and not an offer yet it appears I have talked this jeep down to the point nobody wants it, I just want to say it is a tight, great running little jeep with minimal rust repair. This jeep has a hybrid CJ-5/CJ-2A body. That’s one of the best blended bodies I’ve seen.

It has a 302 v8 engine,edelbrock intake and carb with off-road kit, msd ignition. auto tranny,electric tranny cooler fan, low miles, two gas tanks plus two jerry cans, dana 18 tc. Warn 8274 winch, newer 33″ swampers. All Gages and radio works. Has a heater. Tow bar. New battery. Lockers front and rear. Bikini top. Runs great! I drive it almost every day. The large speedometer has been replaced by a speaker.

Was this originally a fire jeep? It doesn’t currently run.
“1947 WILLY’S Jeep. Original engine, rear end, transfer box, gear box, drivetrain, axles.
Jeep rolls and the engine turns fine. It was running 5 years ago before it was put away. It has been modified with a FIXED windshield as opposed to the fold down original version.
Body is ROT FREE. Some body work has been done, but the work that was done was pretty good. There is some surface rust but its cosmetic. Floor pans are solid. Previous owner was going to convert it into a fire jeep. Comes with a tank and electric hose reel. I also have the original tail gate.
Steering column is a chevy make. Steers the Jeep just fine. Gauges and wiring will need to be gone through. You could get this jeep up and running with a little elbow grease and some wiring knowhow or you can customize it however you wish. Its a PERFECT PROJECT.
Price is negotiable. Bring cash and a trailer and lets do a deal. I have a title in hand.”

“Very nice 1955 Willies Jeep Pickup 4 Wheel Drive Hi and Low Range. New Overdrive Very Good Tires, New Electric Cooling Fan, Painted 3 Years ago Small Block Chev Engine, Near New Upholstery Dual Exhaust System, New Brake Cylinder and Recent Wheel Pack,Odometer reads 67.000 miles but not sure if that is true reading. Runs very well I use as my main transportation. Shocks and Exhaust are 3 years Old. Starts and Runs Very Well. It Does Not use Oil. I need to sell as I have another Project and my wife says only one at a TIME!”
