Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1946 CJ-2A Willys Jeep with windshield. Ran great a couple of years ago. Now water is getting into the oil. Either bad head gasket or cracked block. Hopefully bad head gasket. Good ranch vehicle. Probably to much work to turn into a show piece. Buy as is. Located east of Fredericksburg. If you look at it you have to buy it. “1948 jeep willys cj2a. ran about 3 years ago but has been parked since. Chevy small block. tons of extras almost enough to make a second jeep including:

New windshield
New padding and upholstery for seats
tub (blue in picture) existing one has some rust

2 grills”

“For sale is a 1942 Willys Jeep MB GPW military in the custom project phase so you can build it into anything you’d like at this point whether it be strictly for shows or a full on rock crawler. It was an original ’42 F script Willys years ago but the body was rusted beyond saving so a handmade full steel custom body was built to completely replace the original.
Still has original fenders, grill, windshield frame and cowl. Original frame has been completely boxed and is set up to run a small block Chevy drivetrain set up with solid axles with leaf spring suspension. It was running with a 350/4 speed and original 4 wheel drive parts in the early 90’s but all has since been removed and sold when I started rebuilding the body.
NO ENGINE/TRANSMISSION/T-CASE INCLUDED.

This has the tool indents, column shift, and the squared bolts for the bow holders, but lacks the full floaters it should have if it is a ’45. Maybe the rear end was replaced?

One change being they came with a column shift!! 3 on the tree. Jeep runs and drives great!! just jump in it and go! This is a great little jeep.
