About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
UPDATE: This runs and drives. Was $1650. Status Unknown.
“Runs and drives and ready to restore or make it what you want. Asking 1950.00 OBO
All original, 4cyl, PTO winch. Some surface rust on frame and running gear but still a very solid Jeep. CJ6 is a rare slightly longer version of a CJ5. Some floorboard rust mainly on passenger side and cancer spots on body. No trades.”
“1945 Ford GPW Military Jeep similar to MB or Willys
This is a great old jeep and has lots of history. I purchased it 10 years ago from a man who got it from his uncle but had no interest. I drove this thing everywhere from the north coast, the central valley, foothills, to the Nevada desert… Just very slowly… And it turns heads everywhere I drive it!
I would love to see this GPW go to someone who is interested in restoring or at least leaving it in its semi-stock form. These rigs are becoming increasingly more difficult to find and this is a numbers matching GPW (frame, body, engine) that has a solid engine and decent body. It is certainly not perfect but also would not take much to turn it into a nice restoration or a fun weekend driver.

Note that one CJ-5 has a chrome bumper (from tuxedo of some vintage?) and the other has an overdrive.
“Two 61 cj5’s. One is a right side drive no motor or trans, 2×4, solid body and frame. The other is a left side drive 4×4 dual transfer case with 289 from 64 mustang. motor runs needs carb cleaned and adjusted. transmission works as far as I can tell. also have extra set of Dana 44 front and rear axles. Also roll bar, doors, seats, soft top, new windshield frame, other things that I can’t think of. Make offer I want them out of my driveway today! (03/04/2014) It looks like this has been jacked up or has an spring over mod.
“My Jeep is in fair condition for it’s age. I’m pretty sure the clutch went out the last time I drove it. It should start with a fresh battery. I had just spent over $2000 replacing the entire brake system. The Jeep has been sitting for about 2 years. The registration is current, I have the pink slip in my possession.”
Appears worth a look. Does have some great coloring. The rear bed has been replaced.
“Serial # 22947
Has original data plates. Engine was pulled by previous owner and in the bed of jeep. Body isn’t to bad but has some rust in the usual places spots. Has a dent in rear driver side corner. Missing the radiator. My plan was just to get it running and leave it as it was and use it around the farm. Will need complete restoration, could be used for parts or good base for a rock crawler. No title. Asking $600 obo.”
