Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It runs and drives. Looks like a good price.
Willys jeep, 4 cylinder over head valve engine, rebuilt carburetor, new fuel pump, 3 speed man. Transmission, warn locking hubs 4×4 works great. 16″ wheels with mud grips in excellent condition. Heavy duty front and rear bumpers with hitches on front and back, new canvas top, front bucket seats, 2 rear passenger seats. Roll bar, good brakes, heater works, drives good, runs good. Only 4000 M170’s ever made (this is the long wheel base (ambulance or radio truck) m38a1)
this vehicle has been stripped down to the frame and rebuilt. Still has some minor restoration pieces left. Also have the original canvas etc.
Garage too full and just had triplets so i need to make room for power wheels and things of that nature.”

Seller doesn’t know the year, but it has the hinged grille. So, it is likely a ’52 or ’53.

It runs and doesn’t have too much rust.
“1958 Jeep Willys Sedan Delivery – Chevy straight six cyl original 3 speed. 4 wheel drive and it works great! New brake lines, new gas lines, new gas tank. Very little body rust. Runs and drives but could use a new carb. Has new plugs and wires etc.”
