This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Up for sale, this jeep has the right upgrades. It has a strong 350 Chevy with a T-14 3 spd tranny. M-18 transfer case, large main bore with large main shaft/single lever shifter. D-44 w/flanged axels D-27 front w/locker hubs. 4:88 gear ratio front/rear. 10″ X 2” brakes. Chrome wheels with 31/10.5/15 inch Firestone tires with plenty of tread left. Same size spare with high lift jack. Clear Co title eligible for cost savings “Horseless Carriage” plates. This is a fun off road classic that runs great.”

“1963 Willys Pickup (Jeep) in very good condition. 1974 Chev 250 inline six in excellent condition. New Edelbrock carb, Mallory ignition, headers, new mufflers. Chev 4 speed and transfer case. All in great working condition. Comes with newer front Axel with new disc break setup. Also comes many new parts not installed. Great truck. Gets lots of looks.”
UPDATE: Dan forwarded me the wagon’s plates.
Dan spotted this wagon. He wrote, this ’57 has the rear ambulance doors of a Parkway but the regular side windows of a wagon. It has the GSA plate on the glovebox; maybe it’s a special order?

Serial number appears to be 4168 32583. The prefix should be five digits. Working backwards, the it is possible the ‘8’ refers to 4×4 and ‘6’ refers to the L-head six. The ’41’ could refer to a wagon. Maybe the ‘5’ that should be preceding the 4186 is covered?
The government plate serial number of 32583 matches VIN plate. There is not stamp indicating the military branch served by this jeep. Date of Delivery was July 1957.
