About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

5 Brand new 35” Super Swampers with real Bead Lock wheels.
I thought this looked like a good price, until I realize there were 3 zeros behind the ’55’. The bumper appears incorrect. The seller notes it has been used in films.
“This is a 1942 Ford GPW Military Jeep. Serial #’s on frame reflect the manufacturing date as well as the title. It is in excellent condition and Runs exceptionally. The seats are torn, but can be replaced with after market parts. It has a willy’s 4 cylinder engine that purrs like a kitten. It has the original 3 speed manual transmission and the transfer case (3 granny low gears) works well also. It even has the front wheel engage/disengage shifter. All guages, anti-aircraft lights, gun racks, first aid kit, spare tire, etc, are all still installed and work. The only thing not original are the new 11″ brakes. I swapped the 9″ for the 11″ because this is something that I wanted to drive around town, and the smaller/old style brakes wouldn’t cut it. I still have the original brakes to give to you if you ever want it perfectly restored. This is a one of a kind Vehicle. It has been used in many films also, so there is financial gain if you choose to put it out for time period movies and tv. Email me for questions.”
This looks good from the front, but the bed has been removed.
“1954 willy’s overland originall 60, 000 miles owned over 14years garaged its iife bougt from original owner cape cod mass still has 6 volt system bed was taken out tobe restored no bed included I do have original nys tranferable registration in my name call”
“Have a few things to sell and would like to let go as a package.
First is the blue 47 Willys. Runs well, 4 wheel drive works, breaks work, re-upholstered front seat s on original frames, later model rear seat. Currently have Jeepster rims on it with good tread but have original rims with 6.50-16 tires. Body had bondo on it and there is fatigue in other places. Enough to work with if you want.
Next is a green 47 Willys that runs and 4 wheel drive works. Engine is worn but doesn’t smoke, breaks work as I had replaced all line and cylinders over the years. Original seat frames front and rear.
Have a spare engine block minus intake/exhaust manifold and other miscellaneous parts.
Last is an Artic Top that needs glass and rubber and door latches. These were used by the military in the Artic as it is Aluminum with foam rubber inside for insulation.
All a good deal for someone interested in working with them.”
UPDATE: Marc pointed out that the serial number of 451 GB1 28496 would make this a CJ-3A. More about CJ-3A serial numbers.
It doesn’t run and has no title. The bracket on the fender is unusual.
“This vintage 1948 Willys jeep is a GREAT buy. It does run. My father and I bought it to fix it up and make it a project but we have made different plans and are now wanting to sell it. Does not have a title because it has never been registered. I will provide documentation on how to obtain a title. Does need work on the engine and know very little of the specifics of the vehicle.Has only ever been drove on trails for hunting. Just needs to be restored. Come by and see how you like it! Great project to finish up this spring! TEXT For QUICKEST RESPONSE 801-620-0256”
