The May 1957 issue of Willys News covered the 2nd Annual Jeep Derby in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Among the racers were Bud Jackson from the Hemet Jeep Club and Wally Klingele and Barney Nelson from the Yakima Ridge Runners. Klingele and Nelson drove their jeeps to the event! Only 14 of the 20 entrants completed the eighty mile race.
It’s a solid build.

“1952 Willys Wagon, great solid project vehicle with very minor rust, far from being a basket case that you typically find along the salt-belt. Includes new fuel tank, new wiring harness, new clutch assembly, new upholstery material, good running stock F4-134 Hurricane engine, good stock trans, good stock transfer case, new hardware, new emblems, new repair panels for lips of rear doors ect ect…..basically all of the major things needed to complete the vehicle except time, I don’t have any of that! Forced to thin out my projects before losing my mind, my loss is your gain. Clean and clear title in hand. Open to trade offers, it doesn’t hurt to ask. Email via the link above, include a number if you’d prefer a call back. Thanks for looking!”
Doesn’t run, but still may be worth a look. It could have light rust after being stored for so long.

The rear door is dented as well as the rear left side of the top. Rusted above rear fenders. I have a new windshield frame and drivers floor pan. Dash, column, and trans are removed but included. Have other front fenders. Motor turns but I have not had it running. This is a right hand drive jeep. I will sale it for the right offer. The last photo is of an original Postal at the Alaska Department of Transportation Museum. Please do not contact me unless you are a serious buyer.”
