About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“No title. Motor tight. Good winter project or just parts.
Drive train seems good, the guy I bought it from parked it in running condition but that was 20 years ago.
The head is off and the cyl bore is rusty, I am sure the motor can be salvaged but I really don’t have time for another project.”
“1956 willyz jeep cj-6 Motor rebuilt frame good 18k miles tub rotted front end has blown ring and pinion 6 volt runs and drives motor was rebuilt. Needs new fuelpump which i have not installed yet 728 5980 call or text”
“Very rare Koenig Ironworks hard top for a Willys CJ2A Jeep. this will fit a CJ3a with slight modification, but not 3b or 5. The whole top disassembles for easy transport. It’s assembled right now. All steel, very little rust. Glass is intact, one side pane has a crack.
Asking $500. Call or text 253-threefivethree-6026. ask for Sean.”
“Great project. Has rebuilt transmission and transfer case, new clutch kit, 12 volt starter, master cylinder, and the carb was rebuilt. Have all receipts for parts purchased. Parts are included but not installed. Original 4 cyl, ran about a year ago, before tear down for trans and clutch work. We started the work and fell into another project that caught our eye, this one has to go. There is a title from Louisiana, but it is not signed or notarized so it will need someone who is willing to do some leg work.”
(08/21/2013) If this runs, it might be a good price.
“Many new parts already installed, new battery, new front wheel bearings and seals, new front wheel cylinders, new master brake cylinder, new front brake lines, new points, plugs, spark plug wires, new temperature sensor and gauge, new fuel pump, new rear universal joints. Gas tank has been rhino lined. Have new water pump that hasn’t been installed yet. Please call 520-400-4239. $1500.00 Firm. Sorry No Trades”
Blaine forwarded this video. I’d seen it previously and thought I’d shared it, but didn’t find in my posts. So, enjoy. It would be fun to find a jeep buried in the sand, dirt or bushes; we can always dream, right?
Hugo spotted these jeeps on rails from an exhibit at Retromobile 2013, the February Paris exhibition for car lovers. I don’t know much more about the event, but it looks like fun.
Ann re-proofed the book over the last couple days and found a handful of minor errors. Rather than push the book with those errors, I’m uploading the new version, which will delay the launch. So, I will formally announce it next week once Createspace approves the PDF file. Thanks for your patience1
