About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Here’s a reproduction of Joe Frazer with his Willys MA.
“I have here a nice reproduction 8 x 10 photograph. The picture shows 1940’s era co owner of the Willy’s Jeep Joe Frazer. The picture shows Joe at the smoke house getting a nice Ham and of course driving a Jeep”
Here’s an unusual ad that appeared in Radio-Craft magazine.
“This is an original 1944 black and white print ad for the Echophone EC-1 and Jeep.
Period Paper is excited to present a radio-rich collection of advertising and articles from the Radio Craft and Popular Electronics magazine. This collection is chalk full of World War II advertisements featuring radios, electronic tubes, Echophone communications and fantastically beautiful covers. The articles give an insight into Nikola TeslaÕs life and the Worldwide Station Lists that contain a list of usable radio channels.”
This has some interesting details, including the hood latches.
“You will never see a Willys like this again. This jeep is amazing. 454 big block with world heads (sounds way nasty) and has a 400 turbo automatic with quick shifter on the floor with a twin stick transfer case. Has full top to with doors. Also has hidden stereo with remote in tough lock box between seats with killer fosgate speakers below seats This Jeep might have 200 miles on it. I have a stack of receipts over 15k of parts with no labor. Hundreds of hours of labor. The quality of this jeep belongs in a car show. $15,800 If you see this rig in person you will buy it! If you are serious call if not don’t waste my time or yours.”
“I am selling my 1964 Jeep Kaiser mail van which is also known as a “Willy”. Tis thing runs great!! The engine and transition are very solid and run well. It has High, Low and Reverse and runs very strong in all three. The over all shape is in pretty good condition.
It is a right hand side drive vehicle, it was used as a mail van years ago. It has two sets of gas pedals, you can either drive sitting down or standing up. It has a roll up door in the rear.
I was going convert this into an ice cream truck. But had a family obligation so I was unable to go through with the business.
I am strictly selling this in person and for cash only, no payment plans. Serious buyers only.”
The has a reproduction body and looks solid. Was listed for sale last year.
“Very good condition, 3-owner car; 1st used on a farm, 2nd owner replaced body and mostly stored 25 years. Milage unknown. great opportunity to complete a restoration.Tow Bar and 2nd spare hood (w/o Willys logo)”
“nice shape, will need some work to be streetable, original 4 cyl,3speed,4×4,needs brakes, lights, tires are old but hold air,has cleaned out gas tank, needs to be hooked up,will start with gas poured down carb, has some new parts that go with it,needs glass but nothing on the jeep is costly, perfect shape for running around desert 4 wheelin ,these are pertty much the same from early 40’s – 60’s”
This has the ‘Fresno’ modified windshield. The passenger side tank inlet is unusual. The body is fiberglass.
(04/23/2013) “Project Jeep, Fiberglass body, fenders and hood – no grill . Comes with second stronger CJ3A frame, also comes with 4.3 liter Chevy V6, T90 transmission, ands D18 transfer case. Everything’s here for a nice small Jeep.
Please be aware there are two spots over the rear fender wells and one over the cowl that need some fiberglass repair. If you’ve ever done body work with Bondo this isn’t much different. Please contact me with any questions and I’ll respond as quickly as possible.
Does not have title, but can supply bill of sale. This vehicle has been off the books in California for more than 25 years. Comes with VIN plates. If you’re affraid of doing a little paperwork with your local DMV then this isn’t the Jeep for you. Priced lower, because I don’t have the time.
