About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(12/01/2012) “This is a 1962 Willy’s Jeep Surrey Gala with 26,127 miles. It has been in our family for 30 years. We used the Jeep in parades only to advertise our business. Price $9,500.00. Only 1100 ever made. They came in Blue, Pink and Green. This jeep was refurbished from pink to red prior to us aquiring it. Serious collectors only please! I also am willing to sell the trailer that it sits on for an additional $1,000. It is a full size car hauler. Please call Jim Cira at 419-722-8801.”
(07/08/2013) This includes an overdrive. The hood is a fiberglass bobcat. Not sure how it is a 1956.
“Runs good, 4X4 works good. Buick 231 V6 with auto choke. The tranny has four stick shifts with over drive. It will do 65 on the freeway. Dual exhaust. Needs brake work ( needs new rear wheel brakes). I have already replaced most of the brake lines and the drums are 11in instead of 9in. It gets allot of looks and thumbs up. It does need some body work ( has bondo). The windshield is out of the first generation Willy’s military so it has a two piece windshield. I put a wiper motor on the driver side and the passenger side should be a manual wiper but I have not bought it yet. The willy’s is a M38/3A. I put seats and fuel tank out of a 1970 cj5. The top is a custom top.It has doors as well. There is not another one like it in the world. I have the speedometer but it needs a cable and calibrated.

“Selling my Custom built 1946 Willys CJ2A. It has been stretched 2 feet. It sits on a 1976 Chevy 1/2 ton frame. It has power steering Power Disc Brakes, and it has the 350 engine and TH 350 Transmission. The transfer case is a 203 full time unit. The front axle is a Dana 44 and the rear is a GM 12 bolt with G80 Locker. It has custom bead lock wheels and 28″ TSL Mudder tires. The radiator is Aluminum, and sits between the rear frame rails. Engine has a new timing chain, Edelbrock Torker Intake and Edelbrock Carb. The Ignition is a GM HEI with Accel super coil. It has Headlights and a simple wiring system with flip switch and push button starter. I don’t have a title, but any chevy truck title and vin or Jeep title and vin would work, if you want to run it on the street. The intale is a K&N filter mounted high on the rollbar via snorkel, and the jeep will run in the water to the top of the windshield. Suspention is semi hybrid with no shocks, or sway bar for awesome articulation. no rust tub and very good military green paint. This Jeep will practically go anywhere and its comfortable to off road in because of the stretch and bucket seats. The rear seat is removable and seats 2. Please call 308-293-1708 for more information.”
Dan pointed out that the October 2103 issue of Vintage Truck Magazine has a great looking article about the Traveller by Bill Norris. I’m going to get a copy of that magazine right away!
“Take a look at this custom vintage 1947 Willys CJ2A. Mostly original ’47 body on a ’66 CJ chassis, it features a Chevrolet 350ci crate motor with Holley Dominator intake and camshaft combo, and a freshly rebuilt Holley Avenger off-road carburetor. Exhaust runs through custom headers and side pipe cherry bomb “mufflers”. Also features a 3-speed manual tranny with low “granny gear”, 3.83 gearing, running on low mileage 33in x 12.5in Interco TSL Thornbird mud-terrain tires mounted on deep dish custom rims. This Jeep features Summit Racing bucket seats with 5-point harness to hold you tight when you’re out on the trail. AMC axles with mechanical locker in the rear. Numerous extra parts included. WAIVER: If you are looking for a nice daily driver, THIS AIN’T IT. This Jeep has no top, no doors, no mirrors, no windshield wipers, no horn, no radio, no heat or A/C. But what it does have, is BALLS. It is a blast to drive, but will take a special owner to make it better. It does have plates on it, I have driven it on the road, but it is better suited as a trail rig. Priced at $4995. Located in Milan Twp. Call or text four four oh – nine one five – three eight eight oh, or email for questions or to arrange a test drive. I’m not accepting trades, just cash, unless you have a decent diesel pick-up.”
“1948 Willy Jeep- new shocks, wheels and tires, new wiring, taillights and top.
Original engine and tow bar. Horse carriage license plates. Only thing it needs is brake work done.
posting for a friend-if seriously interested, please email me and I’ll get you in contact with the owner.”
Looks nice, though it needs a new driver side window. No silliness (read last line).
“1962 Willy’s Jeep 4×4 Pick-Up. Has been in my family since new in 1962. Restoration in 2005. Needs nothing but replacing driver side window which has a crack. Super Hurricane flat head 6 which is original. Had a new block put in 2010. Kaiser winch on front. 77k on mileage. Runs well, matching full size spare, all gauges and interior are original with the exception of recovering seats, headliner and carpet in 2005. This vehicle has won numerous trophies at local car/truck shows. No rust on the vehicle. Owner’s manual and accompanying original documents in vehicle. Price is always flexible with-in reason.”
It runs, thought it needs a few parts. The rust might be minimal given the top.
“1953 CJ3A Jeep Willys
You will see in the photos this thing is completely original from tires to glass, to the paint and top. The only added feature I am aware of is a tubular steel roll cage that was added. This Jeep was kept in a barn for roughly 20 years. It would be a great Willys Restore Project due to it all being there.
The price for this Jeep is $$1750 OBO. Cash Only Please. This Jeep needs an ignition switch rebuild, a starter solenoid, a battery and two battery terminal cable connections to run. We carb started it when the battery and solenoid were still attached and it cranked within 5 minutes!.
