Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “THIS IS A TRUE 1948 WILLY’S-OVERLAND JEEPSTER. THIS VEHICLE HAS A ‘GO-DEVIL’ 4-CYLINDER ENGINE WITH A REBUILT CYLINDER-HEAD, A 3-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION WITH OVERDRIVE AND A NEW CLUTCH. IT HAS A REBUILT STARTER. IT IS ALL THERE AND IN GOOD SHAPE, BUT NEEDS ‘TLC’. THE CANVAS TOP IS IN GOOD SHAPE. I HAVE THE ‘SIDE CURTAINS’ BUT THEY COULD STAND TO BE REDONE. VEHICLE HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO 12-VOLT. VEHICLE HAS BEEN INDOORS ALL OF IT’S LIFE. WHEN I FOUND IT, IT WAS SITTING ON BLOCKS AND ENGINE WAS DISASSEMBLED. IT NOW RUNS AND DRIVES. (05/17/2014) It appears pretty solid.
“This jeep was under construction for installing a V8 engine. No radiator, no engine included. Not butchered up, not bad rust wise. No title, sold as is with a bill of sale. If you are wanting to put it back with the 4 cylinder engine, I have some available for purchase separately.

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone redo a jeep with this paint scheme.

I don’t know just how rare these brochures are, but this is currently priced at $93 and there’s already a bid! The vehicles were only built between 1952 and 1954, so I’m not sure there was a 1955 brochure?
