Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “It has a 3 stick 4-wheel drive, 229 Chevy V6, and 1-ton Timken rear axle. It has a sound body, with surface rust only, and includes the original wheels. It is licensed and titled. Runs good and is ready for restoration or whatever you like.”
Has Warn overdrive and runs.

Anyone ever see a data plate quite like the on on this jeep?
“1948 cj 2 willys jeep. Has a ford v6 ( I was told it is a 2.9 colgne but your guess is as good as mine). It appears to have stock trans, transfer case, and axles. I know the carb and battery are brand new (I put them on myself) It has a superwinch mounted up front (it works) and a tow bar also. Back bumper has a class 3 receiver. I also have a roll bar, full canvas with doors (in good shape) some assembly required.
I am not gonna blow a bunch of sunshine up your a$# and make a bunch of promises & guarantees… what you see is what you get! It does run and drive, but I would advise you (strongly) to bring a trailer.”

I would rated as average or little bit above it has some body issues that would need to be fixed if you wanted to have show vehicle.”

“I was going to restore a 1946 Willy’s CJ2A (VEC). I have a very decent body, clean title and a pile of parts that go with it. My intentions were to restore this and it kills me to let this go but medical bills say otherwise.

Just the hub is for sale.

I emailed the seller of this and asked for some pics or a chance to go see this one. I wanted to learn if this was a Bobcat or Parkette body. I got a response to my first email, but am still awaiting a second one.
