About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
From the National Archives comes this photograph of a document used to record funding raising for jeep parts. There is supposed to be a corresponding blueprint, but I haven’t found the document yet.
“Cut Out Appropriate Photo and Paste Down Over Corresponding Blueprint on Jeep Poster as Each Part is Paid For”
Steve spotted this photo of an Armoured CJ-5 used by Armoured Banking Services to transport cash. On July 26th, 1966, this jeep was used to ferry cash to the Veterans Administration. A couple of men decided to make a withdrawal from the two employees carrying the cash into VA building, knocking them down with a submachine guns. You can read the whole story in the article below the eBay photo.

Craig forwarded this link. He says the FC in this postcard is his now (and he already has several of these postcards). This is another shot of the Ouray, Colorado, area.
Is this a one off or an aftermarket extension of some kind.
“The Good:
This vehicle is quite complete. No major components are missing. Frame has minimal surface rust. Floorboards are solid, Only a few rust through areas on body. It has an unusual extension at the rear of the body, could be rare.
The Bad:
Will need complete restoration. Fenders bent, no windshield or mirrors, engine is seized. Left front brake binds at times (hard to push vehicle). /font>
I purchased this thinking I would fix it up. However, I’ve got too many projects, and not enough time or money to pursue them all. This vehicle sat out in the elements for quite a while. It looks like some kids put sticks and rocks in the radiator, battery and probably the engine. I have no paperwork for it, the guy I bought it from didn’t either. It’s been out of California’s system so long that it should be easy to get a duplicate title. I’d be happy to fill out a bill of sale if needed.”
This runs and drives. I can’t quite tell, but I think this has tool indents?

“I just finished restoring this jeep from the ground up as you can see from the pictures. Most every new part came from ” Kaiser Willys jeep” part house.I have all receipts. Everything either new or rebuilt. Frame has been sandblasted, primed and painted. The body was redone and the underside was undercoated with bedliner to protect it from the weather. All new brakes, excluding the master cyl. brake lines, wheel cyls, shoes and e energy brake too. The engine is from a 1953 Willys Truck, F- Head, 134. Runs great ,doesn’t use any oil. Holds good oil pressure. Has new Holly Carburator, fuel punp, water pump, clutch, preasureplate and throw out bearing. New radiator. The 3 speed trany and transfer have been professionally rebuilt and so has the front 4 wheel drive axle. New stock exhaust .New 12volt wiring. Has a rebuilt heater. New chrome wheels . rear tires are new, fronts are in good condition. The windshield is from a 1950 CJ3a for better viewing with new glass and rubber. The milage is not correct since the speedometer is a aftermarket one that I already had.I have driven it about 50 miles since I completed it. Everything seem to be working good. I have tried to fair and explane everything I can about the jeep.”
There’s an image of rusted out rear floor. The seller says it has been fixed, but maybe they meant different rust.
“This is just a great old jeep! It runs and drives fine. It is 12 volt. There was some rust in the floor, but we fixed it. Overall it’s pretty solid. It is an original jeep motor that’s in it.”

“Nice restorable or great parts vehicle – Willys 45′ model MB army jeep. Has pretty decent floors, gas tank sump, and very nice front fenders, hood and grill.
Engine is a civilian block, and runs well, with many original accessories left on it. Drivetrain is original t84 transmission, and military full floating axles.
Frame is in good shape overall, and not rusted thru or bent anywhere. Unfortunately the heavy welded front plow mount will have to be cut off. Looks like it could be cut off pretty decently, or install some new front frame rails which are available as reproductions. Has rare late style pintle hook..
Seats are the original military issue. What is not shown, but included in the auction is the original military gas tank. Looks like the tank could be lined after its cleaned out.”
It doesn’t run. This appears to have been used by a vineyard at some point based on the stenciling.
