About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Andy spotted this truck with a dump bed. It also includes a snow plow.
“Has the 226 hurricane 6 cylinder engine the engine will crank by turning the key I haven’t had it running I am keeping the wheels the truck is rough I have Kentucky classic title in my name does have snow plow and the truck is a dump truck”
“Selling a 1943 Willy’s MB. Jeep is very rough. No title. Good parts Jeep has correct axles under it. The fenders are F marked and the rear axle is F marked. Message me with any questions. Price is OBO”
Not sure if the $2500 covers everything? The truck has something installed on the back. The CJ-2A appears to have a Worman hardtop that has been converted to a half-cab.
“I’m selling a 1947 Jeep Willys truck, I purchased this with the intention of completing the project but I ran out of time. This Jeep has mostly all original parts. 2 owners. It has sat in a barn for the last 15 years and needs some love. It did run and drive currently is leaking fuel when you try to fire it up.”
I spent the last couple days figuring out where I want the firewall positioned and how I want to attach it (and watching some March Madness, so not a lot has gotten done). I may even be able to reuse the firewall from the yellow jeep, though I’ve had to “massage” it with a sledge hammer into a useable state. I will know more once I remove the body.
But, before removing the body, I wanted to see if/how well the front clips I have fit the body and frame. It turned out that the radiator (and the attached power steering cooler in front of the radiator) needed to be moved back about an inch for either front clip to fit. Thankfully, that was easily done.
I tested out the better of the two front clips, but it didn’t want to mesh well with the body. So, I tried out the more damaged of the two front clips, which was original to the yellow body, and that fit much better. The problem is it will require more work to fix (which I will take as an opportunity to do something creative with the grille portion).
Note that this is sitting crooked at the front. I have not added an mounts for the front clip yet.
This old school build looks in great shape. No year listed in the ad. It has one of the more unusual roll bar designs, as it appears the roller is bolted to the sides of the body.

Glenn shared this set of early CJ-2A plates. I can’t tell if a serial number had been stamped into the center plate or not. These may or may not be VEC plates.
“I have the dash data tags from a very early cj2a. These tags are from a rare willys cj2a that used a modified military mb frame from the factory. The jeep has been parted out.”
“I have 2 1947 WILLYS Jeep, well I have the title for one so 1 with title, 1 for parts. They are both complete, but my plan was to use the frame off one, body off other. I have had these for awhile and my plans have changed and I know I will not complete this. They are projects! What will it take to make them road ready? Depends on what you want! They do not run, but the one motor turns over, other use to, but not sure now! I took the fender off to replace the steering column and never put it back on. Only thing missing to make 2 complete is seats, steering column and small stuff. I’m asking 2000, but will take a reasonable offer,I believe this is a very fair price considering I have a title, now with that I have not put it in my name, but will or give the paperwork needed for you to do. My plan is to get them cleaned out and possibly moved from where they are,but not sure if I will, I feel it doesn’t matter much cuz they are PROJECTS!!! they are located in Alcolu SC”
