About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(11/08/2011) “1948 Willys CJ2A – Original flathead engine, rebuilt 4cyl, new clutch, orignal rebuilt 3sp tranny, new radiator, new gas tank, new water and fuel pump, disc brakes on front, dual resevoir master cylinder, tilt steering, chevy steering box, full cage, body in good condition, needs tires am/fm cd player.
Starts everytime! Very dependable, great hunting machine! Asking $3800.00 but willing to negotiate some. Also consider trade for a decent camp trailer. ”
I purchased this small article about a Jeep Jamboree in 1957. The event was held on South Padre Island in the Gulf of Mexico off Texas. This two page spread has pictures and a bit of info on the action. As soon as I get my scanner working again, I’ll larger versions of this.
This is an unusual Jeepster. I wish the pics were larger.

” I am moving and need to down size my toys–I did a total frame off rebuild of this Jeep in 2004- Brakes, wheel bearings, all seals front and rear, new brake lines, new wheel bearings..everything was put back just like new-It has a 1985 Chevy 4.3 V6 with a 4 barrel carb- It has LOTS of power- The engine does smoke a little when you first start it up,but after it warms up its okay- Does not use any oil- Slips out of second gear on deacceleration(which is a common problem) I did not catch it when I rebuilt it,because it was not running when I got it– Paint is a little faded – No rust- good brakes- gauges all work- seats are good-still retains all of the Military hardware- Good top- Lots of fun to drive- 5 brand new Military NDT 7.00X16 Tires- Has a heater-What else can I say this is a one time deal you want find another one like it- It was titled as a 1947 Willys when I bought, but is is a 1942 Ford GPW- I have a clear Texas title- Give me a call @ 325-665-3495 for more info.”
Check out the 100 mile-per-hour speedometer. Is that aftermarket or from a different vehicle?

“I have a 49 jeep pickup thats been sitting in my yard for 8 years and i just need it gone.
Truck has not been started or moved in a year but should still run.
still has original bed that isnt rusted through . was an eastern washington truck its whole life untill it sat here for 8 years.
has willys flat 4 engine and manual 3 speed trans. 4×4 works”
“Here is the story this Willys lived it first 62 years in Eastern Oregon. I bought it about one year ago for a hunting and pleasure rig. It was repainted about four years ago and had a pretty complete restoration at that time. Still has original Flathead 4cylinder, selectro hubs, 12volt system. rest of drivetrain is stock with 16″ wheels.
Since I have had rig I installed the Superlift 1″ soft ride springs, the later style shackles, superlift shocks, I had R&P 4X4 install updated CJ5 steering system and front 11″ Drum brakes.. This vehicle runs and drives awesome for being 63 years old.
Is this a perfect show quailty rig no. With that being said you would have to look long and hard to find a willys of this vintage in this kind of shape.
The only negative thing I can say is the original CJ2A Window was modified for single plate of glass, it works just not as nice as a cj3a window frame, also the wiper motor needs wired.
I have had several jeep and willys experts look at this rig and it does appear to be rust free. I’m selling only because I feel guilty about using a rig this nice for hunting and would hate to cause any damage to it ”
“Well, I’ve changed direction again and need to sell the 2a. I thought about using it for parts, selling what I could and scrapping the rest. But, after I got her started, and looking her over, I realized that this ’46 was pretty original and unmolested. She’s too good to part out, and would make a good restoration project if one wanted to start cheap. Has clean title, matching frame and vin numbers. Hood straight, fenders good, grill good, surface rust on frame, but sound. In the pictures, you’ll see some 24 volt parts that come with it. Youtube video of motor running and jeep moving are at
