Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “4×4 all working run and drives. Can be set up for Street or Mud or trail. Contact for more info or if you have any questions. 283sbc, daina front and rear, daina transfer-case , front and rear locks. great fun rig just time to move onto something new. 4500 OBO cash talks and may ease price. Open to all offers worst i can say is no, we maybe able to work a deal.”

The data plates might be the best part of this jeep.
“Here is a 1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A that is shot but has some useable parts. Serial number 28759. The tub is shot. The frame is shot. The engine is frozen solid. I managed to remove 2 spark plugs and the other 2 broke off in the head. I filled the cylinders with ATF. Then my dumbass broke off an “easy out” in one of the plug holes. Now the head will have to come off to be repaired. 🙁 I do have the radiator for the jeep and it’s included in the sale. I do not have a title for the Jeep. All the data plates are there and match each other. Windshield does fold down. The tires are all 7.00-16. There are no tie rods on the front wheels. The trans shifts between 2nd and 3rd gear. But not between reverse and 1st. The transfer case levers both move. I will also give the winning bidder a hood, Grill and 2 fenders from a CJ3B. All beat up but better than nothing. ;)”

Here’s a unique hood for a project.

“WW2 Ford GPW for parts. Bad body,bad frame. Motor is out of jeep and taken apart and is an MB motor. Selling the whole jeep for parts,will not separate.”

Ed Wilson wanted to share some unusual jeeps photos from Egypt. They were taken in 1962 by his father Captain Harry Wilson during his United Nations duties in Egypt, while serving with the Canadian Army.
Ed notes that a few years ago his father searched for a tiny place called Sharm el-Sheikh where Harry and a fellow officer served during 1962. Their job was to look after a desalination plant. Instead of locating the hut where the two of them and a local family that cooked for them had lived, Harry was blown away to discover a billion dollar resort. No doubt the hut and the family are long gone.
